I’m a 100% percent va disabled but I’m more worried about being around the burn pits on your fobs. One of the post was right about the burn pit and not to mention burning the shit barrels an all that smoke. It took me from 2013 started my claim and wouldn’t settle finally reach 100 after 6 filings in 2017. So never give up fighting the VA.

Go see the DAV (disabled American veterans) they are huge when it comes to going against the VA regarding claims. They are great vet advocates.

My armory was very close to a burn pit and the thick clouds of black acrid smoke was nasty

...^^^... Everything starts with your Primary care appointment. Take a lot of notes with you and I hope you get a good doc.

You will need an official POA (Power Of Attorney) to do your paperwork and be patient. Sorry, I am not real familiar with El Toro.

The DAV does the power of attorney for the claims. You are spot on the Primary Care. @usmarine you need to get recommendation to a specialist so they can get a better understanding of the issues at hand before filing a new claim.

Just my opinion ... burn pits are the next agent orange on a smaller scale ... I predicted this when I saw them and the other oil wells fires on TV.

...^^^... I am a lifer with the DAV and they are good ... depending on who you get ... ask around who is good at the DAV ... also I like the State Reps and IMO, the best is the PVA, but you need special circumstances there.

^^^ This is just from my experiences ^^^

My SSgt was saying that. He finally had enough when we had a burn pit going he made us wear the gas mask but this was on my last deployment. But in my opinion the damage is already done. Burning lithium batteries, thermite, all sorts of other shit using JP8 as a the fuel to keep the fires going. Standing behind tanks to stay warm from the exhaust and breathing that shit in having attack helicopters shooting uranium rounds while the shells fall around you. It’s not if, it’s when your lungs become messed up. I’m not looking forward to my future

PCA was amazing for my uncle who was a Korean and Vietnam vet. They really went to bat for him and got him everything he deserved. They first gave him 10% in the 80’s. He went the PAV and he got a everything including wheel chairs

...^^^... Hey ... It was hell, getting info in the RVN days .... you guys have the internet and google now to catch them. :)

Compare the old dewey decimal system and those 3"x5" cards in the library to find stuff ... to your iPhone and Google ... finding info today is a piece of cake.

I remember using Aircraft cleaning solvent (TCE /PCE solvent) in my armory to clean weapons . This solvent turned unprotected skin orange and felt very hot
