    Pretty sure any major welding to these frames actually weakens them and it’s not recommended by Toyota for any repair. That being anything over slightly tweeked that a frame machine can’t get back to spec will more than likely be replaced. If the insurance policy/laws there state replacement beyond 50% percent, my guess is that they will total your truck.

    I’m off on Tuesday, so will take it to a few shops and see what the consensus is.

    As awful of a situation as this is I think you're looking for a complicated answer to a relatively simple problem. It comes down to your insurance policy and i'm not sure it's worth speculating all of the possible what ifs that are out there. My advice would be to wait to see what your provider comes back with first.

    Simply put, They should be able to repair your truck as if the accident never happened. If the truck cannot be brought back to pre-accident condition than they should total it out and send you a nice check for a new one.

    In a perfect world; the asshat's responsible for the accident would be forced to be your indentured servant until the damages they caused were paid off.

    Good luck :evil::frusty:

    Update on the truck. ICBC were originally going to repair it as the estimate came in at $15k to do the work required. I called them and expressed a few concerns and they decided to reevaluate my claim. The next day they gave me a call and upon further factors they decided to write it off. I have since replaced it with another white 2017 TRD Sport.
