So last year I did a breast in the smoker with a butter injection. It came out great but I think I can do better this year. I'm want to try a brine then inject it again. I also want to try finishing it in the oven to crisp the skin a bit better. What's your favorite brine combo .I'm liking the idea of oranges in the brine but having not done it before I'm interested in ideas

    Special cases one and all.

I think the German in the Admiral is starting to show through more and more lately. Likely from so much localized exposure to the reactors.

Actually have been having some problems last year or so especially joint pain but doubt is is related to that. They have narrowed it down to high iron in the blood and I have 3 liver tests next couple of weeks. For the last few weeks have had to limit my red meat and seafood intake and it is a hard thing for me to do. I want a steak so badly... Already getting tired of birds.

Was telling a buddy about the deal work has on the ZGrills. So he says how much with your discount? I explain and he ask me to buy one for him. After I return with it things became a bit fuzzy... as we assembled, burned it in and did up some wings for a ballgame last night.

How do you like that ZGRill? I had been looking at Pit Boss grills but heard they tend to have some issues, last time I went to Rural King I saw one these and liked the price of it. But I haven't heard of them until then

It seems like a well made unit. I have a Big Horn that a guy is trying to buy off me. If he does indeed buy it, I’ll replace it with a ZGrill. I’ve got almost nothing in it as it was a return and my mgr made me a hell of a deal on it. I’m assembly dept. mgr. at a Rual King, and yes we’ve had quite a few of the Pitt Boss brand ones returned with issues. Most of the time it’s as simple as a blown fuse.

Thanks! I've got a fair smoker now, keep tossing the idea around to either buy a propane grill for burgers and such and keep the cheap propane smoker til it falls apart after another season or 2, or to just buy a good pellet grill in hopes that I can grill and smoke on it.
