It's more they bind and tear than hold up droop but they do allow smooth movement.

I only see the lower control arm bushings being sold on oem toyota sites. The upper control arm is sold as a whole w/ bushings.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
You don't "need" to lube the steering rack bushings. The poly kits don't even come with lube for the rack bushing kit.

If you feel like you must lube the rack bushings, use NON-petrolium based lube (for either OEM rubber, or a poly aftermarket) Superlube is a good choice.

    I know, this is old.

I’ve heard a few people say the moog bolts aren’t good but what was wrong with SPC? Did they break or strip? I am in the process of getting everything to replace my bushings and bolts (seized solid) but OEM bolts will cost me $300+ up here and SPC will be like $75. That being said I don’t want to waste $75 on shit either.

They don't hold alignments as well, and after a couple will round and be completely useless. The interface between the bolt and cam is significantly less than the OEM setup.

Stick with OEM. If you can afford the down time, take it apart before buying new ones. You might be lucky and be able to save a couple of the old ones. Also, the part that's usually seized is the sleeve, so you should be able to reuse the bolt and the cam that's attached to the nut.

I’m hoping this will limit slipping. Did the other side as well, closer to the center to meet the ends of the bushing sleeves. 632A2472-7E23-492A-90C7-B8F8D4F2F2D7.jpg

I did my Whitelines about 6 months ago. I didn't do anything to the washers. I haven't had any problems or noises.

Anyone that's installed the whiteline bushings: I have 4 extra washers with the smaller inner diameter. Did I miss something? Lol.

Did you put two washers to each bushing? IIRC, mine only came with the large, flat washers, and I believe each bushing received two?

Necro quote. I have been chasing an issue with the brakes pulling intermittently and never considered that the LCA bushings could be shot.

Edit: I still had the issue after replacing the steering rack, TREs, calipers, rotors, and lines and having a shop verify no braking issues so this seems pretty likely

Yep, one on each side of a bushing, and still 4 left over. Weird. I'm going to email whiteline in the morning just to check. The job is done and everything is working well.

Btw, for those on the fence about installing these bushings, do it! It's hard to explain, but the truck's steering just feels tighter and more responsive. I'm happy.

That’s certainly odd...sounds like they stuck four extra washers in by mistake :notsure: if you installed 2 for each bushing, then that’s all there should be.

Did the whitelines a few weeks ago and it's completely changed the truck.
I had replaced the whole front end, rack, rack bushings, ball joints, big brake upgrade etc etc and I still had a pull to the left when braking.
FINALLY, replacing the LCA's got rid of it. My truck finally goes straight on the highway.
TIP: Use a torch to help push out the old bushings. I used an air chisel and it would have been a lot more gentle on the arms with a little heat help.

I've got the same symptoms, pulls to the left. Did the tundra brake swap thinking it might be a caliper. Guess I'll add this to the list.
