What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Love that color, such a clean truck! Is your truck a legit TRD Pro from the factory? I noticed the black Tacoma emblem on the door and the grill. I like that front end so much I swapped my 07 to match it, haha I’m rocking that fake 07 TRD Pro. Now I just need the new mirrors to match.

 

I'll probably sell the ones im running now since my lenses are just in immaculate shape.

 

That’s the TRD Pro grille. It’s a bit pricey, but I bought mine off eBay. Over $300

 

I think they only started the black stickers between the windows on the third gen tacos. But I agree it looks better without them.

 

Swap the lenses.

 

Replaced the rear red TRD emblem with black.

 

Seeing these super white trucks make me want to swap all my black base trim to color match.

 

What tires/wheels on that thing?

 

I’ll do a write up on this later, but I installed a power steering fluid filter

 

Did a bit of critter control today. No issues with mice. But just want to keep it that way. Been meaning to do this for 3+ years.

1/4" galvanized screen secured with stainless steel hardware.

 

Took advantage of good weather window in the PNW and enjoyed two days of exploring trails with some buddies.











Then I drove through the car wash and gassed her up in preparation to return back to corporate life tomorrow

 

Finished up my $85 LED projector retrofit. Very satisfied with the result.

 

I used a spring compressor and did not die

$100 PL5400 Black Manual Tailgate Lock with Bolt Codeable Technology for Toyota Tacoma

PL5400 after a rash of tailgate thefts (24). I also finished putting in LED map and dome lights...

 

Went with Black Rhino TSW Roku 17x9.5 for the wheels and unfortunately, i was in a bind to get tires, so had to go with 265/70 R17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2. I wanted 285/75 R17 but they did not have any in stock.

 

Parked next to an FJ yesterday and realized my passenger side headlight was soaked inside


So now it sits like this until I seal BOTH lights. It’s tempting to continue stripping parts off and updating the front end


Also, I hate the location of this bolt lol

 

I tried that method and it did not work for me because my LCA would not drop enough to release spring pressure. I think maybe my cams are seized? Anyway the spring compressor method was easy and safe. Just use your head!
