This is interesting stuff. Hmm. I'm currently running Nitto Terra Graps 265/75/r16

If I went 255/80 I'd get a little more height. Would that fit without a lift?

I was thinking about getting some 275/75/16 but all that does it give me a wider tire and lowers fuel mileage. If I go from 265 to 255 am I going to notice a big difference in control while driving?

I dont think it will fit without a lift. I rub slightly and I have at least 2.5-3" of lift. Nice thing is you don't run into cutting the body mount like others do with 285's. On road they handle just fine, other than a little power loss theres no difference in driving.

So what's the benefit if we're getting power loss? A little taller stance?

Youre sounding like my wife now lol! Yeah taller stance, less rolling resistance with it being skinnier. All in all the worst thing you can do to your truck is lift it and put bigger tires on it, but where's the fun it that?!!

Easy now.... haha I'm just curious is all. I'm just curious about the smaller tires. I thought I read they get a little better MPG too.

That doesn’t look bad at all. What is the offset on those wheels?

Did you really need to do the CMC with that size tire?

Maybe due to the negative offset of the wheel?

    Looks good.

Yes it was needed for that specific reason. Even if we cranked up the coil overs it would have still made contact off road.

Okay, gotcha. I don't think that way because my truck doesn't leave the pavement.

I really like the Cooper ST Maxx and seeing your 255/80 17's is making me want to bump up to that size. I think I could do that if I never went off road and I wouldn't need to do the CMC. 285's are really nice looking but totally unnecessary for what I do.

Those look really good. I've wanted to put a skinny on SCS wheels but was concerned they'd be stretched more than I'd like. Might have to do this down the road.

I believe its a 30" single row light bar off of Amazon. I can't remember exact length. I had to cut two sections out of the cooling fins on the back of the lightbar to fit around support tabs built into the bumper. I remove those rubber bumpers on the bumper and reinstalled, thats all the hold the light bar in very tightly. Fits in there perfect.

:annoyed: At that price I might have bought these over the Cooper St Maxx...

Then again, I love my Cooper ST Maxx! We have had a ton of rain the past few weeks and these tires are rock solid!

Big issue I have with the toyo's are they are heavy as hell!! 61lbs compared to 50lbs for the Coopers.
