    Also my issue is in using a 10" shock versus a 8" and I don't use the full travel, so I need to be stiffer since it get compressed as much as if it was a 8"

    Do you use full travel now?

    You would use about the same valving, but you could go a shim softer and use more travel.

    So a longer travel shock would be the same or slightly softer valving..

    I have a 9" shock so I would just use the same valving and I would have a little more travel.

    Going to try your 80 over 95 see how that works out, thanks. Yea 50/70 stock on desert was way to soft for compression.

    So question
    ..
    Why the reason for some of you to go to a 2.5" shock in the rear if still "mid travel"?

    What does the 2.5" allow over the 2" shock?

    why not? i went with custom mounts to get full suspension travel. i went 2.5 to keep the cheap 2.0s from overheating. heavy truck and heavy foot in the dirt gets shocks hot

    awesome yea i'm going to try your front and rear settings, i know mine is a 1st gen ext cab but with a bumper and supercharger maybe the front weight will equal out, truck as a whole weighs in at around 5k as is.

    What are ya'll paying for a rebuild/revalve on a 2.5 coilover? Looking at a set of used 2.5 non-resi for the front and 2.0 resi for the rear and running the numbers about what it would cost to redo them before install versus pulling them back off later to do it. They have estimated 10-15k on them now.

    Im needing a rebuild and heavier spring on the 2.5s.

    What are the stock 2.5 spring specs ?

    What is the best size spring for a very heavy front end that will give 2-3 in lift ?

    Been researching but not having much luck.

    Think I need a 700# spring ?

    Read this thread, but
    I have a stock front end and run the 650 and it's much better off road.
    So if you have lots of armor bumper, wench, skids, sliders I would think the 700 would be better...
    The 600 is really for 2" lift with stock weight street trucks.

    The search function isn't working to find this level of specific detail, so if this has been asked I apologize...

    What are people doing for replacement bushings? I have plain old 2.0 IFP non-reservoir rear shocks (980-24-675) and will need both the eye and stem bushings. Just call FOX and order directly or is there something aftermarket we like?

    Fox doesn’t sell direct. You’d have to contact a dealer. ORW, Down South, 4 Wheel parts just to name a few.

    Have more details on your setup? What’s a “very heavy front?”

    A lot of it comes down to preference but you’d have to have A LOT of weight for a 700# to not ride harsh.
