Not enough to have a build thread.
Some people used to take those off and do a deck plate mod for some more ponies if I'm not mistaken

yeah I'm thinking the PO did it when the supercharger was put on thinking it would make some kind of difference

Not sure why anyone would remove those....Removing those parts would make no difference for a deckplate mod

whatever the reason for it, it fucked up my plans to put my snorkel on today so I'm peeved, lol. Was thinking I'd just install the snorkel anyway and hook it up to the air box later, but now that I think about it I don't think I can do that...cause the fender has to come off to install the OEM air tube. I guess I could but having the snorkel bolted to the A pillar will make it more of a hassle.

where should the stamp be? It's caked in dirt so it's hard to tell

If I remember correctly, you shouldn't have to remove the fender to put those parts back in.

cool thanks, yeah someone in another thread just told me the same thing so I'll go ahead and try to get the snorkel on today and hook it up later.

Yes, fender doesn’t need to come off. Even in instructions we don’t mention or show the fender off for the install. You will however need to unbolt and possibly take out your airbox for the curve tube install. Don’t forget to get the hardware for those two missing tubes too. Should be two bolts for each piece. How long have you had the truck for?

You can still do the majority of the install if you don’t mind taking off the snorkel again later.

The air box has to come out to install the air tube? In another thread they mentioned it could be done just by reaching up into the fender and bolting the curve tube in place.

I don't mind having to take it off again just trying to minimize the extra work due to these missing oem parts

This is one of the best shot I’ve seen for Tacoma’s in general. Good timing.

I tested the snorkel this past Friday with the TW group that went to Bald Mountain. Convoy had 10+ tacos, dirt flying everywhere, and brushed my snorkel on a tree branch. Will report back next week since I haven’t had a chance to inspect my truck or the filter, busy life. However the good news is it didn’t fall off :)

I said possibly since I’ve never done it. If anything unbolting the airbox would be required.

Well at the very least, today I'm going to attempt to accomplish getting the damn snorkel on, lol. I'll count that as a victory, one win at a time...hopefully by next weekend I'll have the missing airbox parts.

Yep, I have that exact Toyota stamp on mine in the same spot.

Not done quite yet but mostly there...still need to rivet to the a pillar and make it functional once I get the air intake parts I need.

Received UPS notification email on the 9th, tracking still shows 'shipment ready for UPS - label created'. email notification had this info:

    upload_2018-11-11_17-41-36.png

Not sure how it's supposed to be delivered on the 13th when it still hasn't technically been picked up yet... lol

All good - not in a rush drill that hole into the fender :pccoffee:

Thanks! I'm really happy with it...unfortunately it gets dark so quick down here now that I barely got to take a look and get a photo before I had to put all the tools away before it got dark.

Still bummed about not having the right air intake parts needed to hook it up, but at least I got it on so it should be pretty easy to connect it once the parts come in.

Hoping to have it all put together and functional before Pismo next weekend, be a perfect trip to test it out on

Just like @TacoJohn4x4, I wasn't able to get the lock nut on the very top bolt (above the 3.5" hole)...I cant reach up in there around the snorkel to get it on lol. But it seems to be holding on just fine without it.

Try putting it on the open end of the wrench or use a long magnet. Shouldn't be to bad

Maybe my arm is too big, I don't know but I couldn't get a wrench up there let alone a finger or two to get it seated on the bolt. I'll try it again with the wheel off next time and it should give me a better angle on it.
