Decided to go for the subie kicker tweeters tonight. Tomorrow I will mess more with them so I don’t bother the neighbors, but they are in

Harbour Freight has an extruded folding aluminum step stool that's actually pretty nice for the money. Light weight and believe it or not well constructed. On sale they sell for $19.99 reg. $29.99. Might be worth checking out. I bought one and love it. Doesn't take up much space and saved me a pocket full of cash to spend on others mods.

Haven't needed to do this in a long time, but when I did, and anybody else I knew did, we put them up against the cab. If one end of the truck is heavier, it will want to be in front.

I may go the step stool or Little ladder route. I'm thinking about buying a set of wheel skins instead of factory alloy wheels. If I go that route I can buy another TruXedo Lo Pro tonneau cover. Then I'll need a step stool to wash/dry the top of my cab.

SoCal dealers all want a market adjustment mark-up between $8-$15k above MSRP (plus CA sales tax on top of that at 9.5% where I live). I feel lucky to get it at MSRP and I will be registering elsewhere.

Wasted no time taking it away from asphalt on my trek throughout the Pacific Northwest
