We have 2 rotating holiday teams so we have to work Every/other of their 11 holidays. On t-day, off Xmas. Put in for Xmas eve off 3 months in advance to be with the kids but got arbitrarily denied. Not my fucking fault they can’t keep proper staffing levels and only decide to apply the rules when it’s convenient for them.

 

Uhg. I feel ya.

GF deals with the same thing at her work.


I just let my work know 24hrs in advance and I'm good

 

We usually tell them we can't give advice over the phone and if they think they need to be seen in an emergency room, then we're always open. Dumb shits like that hear "You need to be seen on the ER" regardless of what you say.

 

Psyched to get out into the barn/shop today to create. Nothing big but haven’t dusted off the tools in a while.

Although it’s not heated or insulated and the feels like is 23 right now

I’ll have to move the snowblower up to the garage today too... always hit or miss with this new(er) one if it’ll start. My old 30yo Ariens would fire up every season one pull. Never broke a shear pin in the 12 years I used it, last season I broke 3

 

How is the manual trans in the Tacos? My TJ had the NV3550. I decided to go with an auto this time around.

 

In my personal opinion, I like the third gen clutch and gear box the best. I had a second gen MT and auto as well. The throw is smooth. It engages quick without being too grabby. There's enough play to feather it on tricky terrain. And the engine likes to run tall. So in 4lo you can wind it up , and also bog it down if need be while not having to shift, which obviously less shifts the better.

I don't have the notching that some people complaining of.

Gotcha. I always(and still do) believed that a Jeep should be a manual. I was just ready for a change. 9yrs of rowing gears was enough
