Morning guys. Got back from expo east last night. Got there Thursday night, so 3 nights of camping. It fucking poured on Friday, so it was a soupy mess the whole time. So much so that I just slept in the bed of my truck because my ground tent woulda been a mess.

Overall it was fun and I got to meet some cool people while working the mobtown booth. Am also very pleased with my camping set up and don’t have much more I want to fine tune.

    Whatcha gonna buy?

    - AJT climate control knobs

    - Kore 4x4 front bumper support mounts for the frame

    - cab mount bushing kit

    - maybe frame plates for the rear if I can get ahold of the local guy that was making me a pair

    - DOM tubing for cross bracing for the above if I can get ahold of him.

Not sure what else yet haha. Had a patch sale last night on Facebook and I'm waiting for venmo money to hit my PayPal account.

If you have a metal supermarket near you they'll hack off tubing whatever length you need. It's like a lumber yard for metal! They should also have a drops section that sometimes has some good usable scraps for projects.

I will check around. A lot of times, things like that are up charged out the ass and it's cheaper to buy online. Or the local place might not have exactly what I need.

Been looking at ruffstuff for DOM. Any length and I can cut if needed.

You are correct. But from what I've seen metal supermarket seems to be priced fairly. Now if you go to a normal supply house that deals mainly with large orders they are super expensive. I think metal supermarket is trying to be fair to the hobbist as well as big customers.

Don’t you just need a few feet? I’d think the metal supermarket would be easiest. I’ve bought from them before and while it’s not the lowest price, it was convenient since it’s local.

I usualy head to the local scrap yard. Cheaper but metal usualy needs working or cleaning up. But saves alot of money.

Found one local. Didn't know. I can send them a quote once I know how many feet I need. I forgot to grab measurements.

    Yes. Thinking two crossbraces.

That shouldn't be an issue. Just looking for something a bit more solid and beefy. Don't know if that's something they have. Looking at 2" x .120" Wall, 1.75" Tube ID.

I just like to know exactly what I am buying. I have gone that route too before for some projects just depends on what I am doing but it's a good option.

I like those @AJT DESIGN climate control knobs. I'm hoping he makes some for the 3rd Gen. I might be more inclined to break down and pair them with the shift knob they match.
