That was my advise that @hx989 said was idiotic content... I even went as far as saying, throw a towel over the socket to catch shrapnel if the breaker explodes.

i have method 17" wheels and there is room with this mod. from every thing that i came across and researched these larger rotors came with factory 17" wheels.

I'm not the OP but I did the mod and used the factory spec torque on a 4x4.

I don’t think they would clear. My 17” SCS wheels clear, but not with a ton of room

I know on the 14wa caliper 4 runner setup stock sports won’t clear. I had someone comment on that in the thread I have.

Thanks OP for the write up! I went with the 4Runner / GX set up.
The wheels are 17” TRD wheels in matte gray
    E990755E-3B5C-427F-AB65-4EA06CEB096C.jpg

I also replaced then small hard lines going to each caliper, so I wouldn’t have to “re work” the factory Tacoma ones. Went with the lines that correspond to the calipers used.

    edit: brake line p/n 47314-35320 and 47316-35280

Those are the same wheels I have! Good to see that this will work with them...as I'm planning on doing this now that it's cooler in Phoenix.
