Ever since I've had this truck, whenever I off-road I consistently get a loud "thunk or clunk" from the rear end somewhere. It's always when i'm coming off a rock or roll over a hump, but it's extremely loud and I can't determine exactly whats causing it. Is this a bump stop thing? But why would it cause the noise when the wheel is coming down?
Also...if this is a bump stop issue, whats the consensus on replacement? Superbumps?
    Any help is appreciated! TIA

Have you checked the u-bolts to make sure they’re properly torqued?

I’d check the spare tire, and make sure everything was secured in the bed. Also it can be the bed itself. Check the fron passenger side bolt holding the bed to the frame. The support under here is known to collapse

I did when I got it home from the dealer, after the White Rim Trail, Canyonlands, and the driver side nuts were loose. Tightened them and no clunk. I assume they were either already loose, or between Salt Lake where I bought it and home in Albuquerque, they loosened. I do some rock work in northern New Mexico periodically, and check them after.

Ok, ok. It's always the nut behind the wheel... The u-bolt nuts on the driver's side, not the one behind the wheel. I'm 69 years old. Do I still have those?

All the bolts were tight. The drivers front bolt I turned maybe 1/8th rotation....but besides that all good.
Oh yeah...spare tire good to go also.....no wiggle or looseness :)
