Like how Tfly said, advancements in fuel management, distribution and such with direct injection and computers has made it much safer to run on the edge of "too lean" nowdays. Gone are the days of running a lean mixture and 3 valves burned and the rings melted on 2 cylinders cause the intake manifold had some flow issues.
I'm all for all the extras ESPECIALLY the tire size converter. I've been holding off on buying one for over a year now in hopes that this would be a reality!
Is there any chance the tune is considered good to release and all the fluff can be added in as part of the custom tuning option?

TSB = technical service bulletin. TSBs are issued to tell dealers how to do a certain repair if certain issues are present. In this case there are a couple of TSBs (you can search for them, but i think tsb 0062-18 and 0058-18) that say update ecu programming to address some issues with driveability. The latest tune for automatics is 04B04, so thise TSBs update to it.

Well, yeah. The conventional wisdom in the piston airplane world was ~75* rich of peak. The new wisdom is ~35* lean of peak. That’s degrees C. And my numbers could be off. It’s been years since I flew a piston.

lol, trust me, I WANT the meat (in the most heterosexual way), the only reason I mention it is that things like tire size is still trying to figured out how to be implemented as well as a few other things are being developed but are not sure if they will be in the 1.05 update or not while other things are certain to be in there and are being figured out now. IF the tuning part is done being fine tuned then releasing it while the rest of the stuff would calm a bunch of nerves in here and keep the heard pacified till the "gravy" is released.
If it's not done being fine tuned then that's all good too, the wait will continue regardless, was just a brainfart after reading the update.

Pretty exciting updates! Clearly you decided to work on more than just shifting though I realize much of the updates, in the end impact the torque models that control shifting. Take the time you need

I'll give it a try then. Can you email me the 1.04R files please? I emailed you asking some questions last Friday, but hadn't heard back. Figured I don't want to be blowing up your inbox with questions and requests, so I was waiting until I got a reply. My email is treimche@gmail.com.

1.04r is pretty sweet man. My truck is 6000lbs and it scoots nicely. The smooth shifting and throttle response is better than 1.04 clearly

As always. Formulate a true opinion after 200 miles

So homeslice is ok with slapping on any old bolt-on mod, but is afraid that a master tuner across multiple platforms is gonna leave a 10 year problem-festering hole in a fuel map somewhere? You mean like the one that came with the truck?

Also, why does he get to have 'over a decade of professional experience' (in what sounds like software design for something maybe not related to cars?) when Mat only gets to be 'god knows who, regardless of his history in the area?'

Sorry, I don't like to get personal on the internet, but sometimes you gotta stand up for the good guy.
