It happens on all my roads around here. Going over any type of bump in the road will cause it for me. In the video I was going down an extra bumpy road to make it easier to see in video.

I installed the Philips 4300K's in March of this year, the bounce was pronounced and was present from day one. Swapping out the o-rings didn't resolve the issue. This past Friday, I replaced them with the 5000k's and the bounce disappeared. If you are frustrated like I was, consider doing the 5000 swap.

If I knew for sure there would be no bounce I may consider doing that but even then I don't feel like spending another $150 to fix the bounce the 4300k bulbs produce in our vehicles.

I'm not one to tell someone what to do or where to spend their $; however, assuming you already have the kit, 5000k bulbs cost me $40.49 (with the 10% discount code DSC-40).

Where did you order the bulbs? I browsed XD site but only saw the kits, I must of missed them.

edit: yep totally did not look in the dedicated "bulbs" section, ha.!

I do not like the color of my XD Phillips 4300K. Thinking about going up to 5000K. Hopefully not as yellow.
I have only driven at night once, did not notice any bounce on my 4300K's.

Look at the chart, looks pretty yellow compared to the rest!

The difference between the Philips 4300k and the XD 5000k is only 230 lux. I doubt you could notice that. The XD 5000k bulbs are not yellow at all.

It's relative... 5000k bulbs may look "yellow" compared to 6500k, but they're white compared to halogens :)

Interesting. I am going to order the 5000K bulbs.

I am wondering if the Philips 4300K bulb it self was the issue with the bounce, will @XenonDepot credit you that amount for the Philips 4300K bulb after you bought the 5000K?? Considering we paid a mark up for the Philips bulb right?

I'd like to know this too. I just can't drive with these bulbs in anymore and don't plan on spending more money on headlights after spending $180 for the better Philips bulbs. I'll be back to my LEDs headlights this weekend. Don't get me wrong, the XD kit is a great and the output is awesome..but the shake is either getting worse...or I just notice it 10x more and it almost makes me dizzy driving at night.

They have a warranty. If they are defective I would get your money back.

I just bought a set of 5000k bulbs from Xenon Depot yesterday hoping that they will cure the shake from the "upgraded" Philips 4300k bulbs I have had in my Taco since January. Mine originally never had the shake till the last couple of months. It would be nice if they could give us a real discount on another set of bulbs that don't have the shake or at the least put on their website that the Philips 4300k bulbs may have a shake so other buyers don't waste their money on them.

Essentially there is no difference between those two links you provided above - the 'vehicle-specific' kits on our site are just meant to be used as a shorthand, to gather together any extra/optional components we know you will need for that vehicle. This just puts it all together on one product code for you - that 2017 Tacoma Kit, for example, is just the H11 Xtreme HID Kit with 'None' selected for the options.

As for sales, your best bet would be to keep an eye on our site/social media pages. We will definitely have something going on for Black Friday/Cyber Monday/etc, but I do not have any details to share at this point in time.

You can always find our most up-to-date promotional offers on the site.
