    Alright.
I just need a servo extension, batteries and paint the body. Going to try and get that done by tomorrow so I can get out there Tuesday.

Had a good time out at duck creek! Pretty good turn out, was slow at first, waiting on others, but it cleared up and we did our own thing. Winch proved to do the job, there were def some spots where it was a must to make it. Straps were used more often as long as someone could make it up, first. The course is still marked so we should be able to run in a while before it disappears. Got a couple vids of the winch vs a vertical wall, just to see how it would do.

    That’s a beast!

I told the guys at work I’ll be leaving a little early tomorrow. Hoping to make it by 6. That 155s servo is stupid fast. Even at 6v.

@Tundra2Play want me to bring the tires tomorrow?

If u end up wanting to get into 8th scale buggy, let me know. I have an unexpected project land at my toes so i may let go of my Team Associated B3.1e. 150S servo, Hobby Wing XR8 SCT esc, Hobby Wing 1900kv motor. 450$, originally spent about 1100 on the build.

Might sell my Bully II also... ugh. And my LCR 1/14 truggy.

That LCR is not worth selling. Probably only get 100 for it. ... want to buy one for 100? I give you good deal.

Pretty sure I'll be there. No winch, but I'll have straps. Waiting for a replacement winch from China, so who knows how long that'll take.

    Right on.

My low CG battery tray and servo relocate front mount must be on a row boat coming from over there. I ordered a while ago and the shipping update says from Dec 7th to Jan 4th.

I bought a thin sheet of aluminum today and made a plate to relocate the battery and electronics. Mocked it up with cardboard and cut with some tin snips. ESC is on one side of the motor with the receiver box on the opposite side. Battery is now perpendicular behind the shock hoops. Hopefully this keeps the weight low and keeps the truck from flipping so much.

I also cut the ends off the bumper and cut the mounting posts to push it further back. I need the metal bumper for the winch mounting, but it was killing my approach angles.

What kind run time you get out of that battery? 6-7 days?

Hahaha. Its a 5500mah 3S and so far has lasted over 2 hours with lots of full throttle time and lightbar on. Both times I've used it, I broke the crawler before running out of battery, lol

I guess I need to quit taking the easy way out and start making my own mods. ‍
That’s exactly what I plan on doing to mine. Trying to get the battery as low as possible.

Were you able to keep the lights in the bumper after you cut it? Hard to tell on my phone.

Servo packed with grease, o ring on the output shaft and then the horn is smashed on top, plastidipped. Working on my rock lights and then mounting a light bar in the front grill. I saw Howler Customs made a battery/electronics tray, but it was out of stock everywhere.
    Capture+_2018-11-19-21-11-03.jpg
It really didn't look like anything too special, and figured I could make one. Only took about 30 mins to trace and cut it out. I used shoe goo to attach the electronics. Then drilled 2 small holes to attach the stock battery tray/straps. There's 2 screws holding the front to the chassis, but the back is just hugging around the motor and transmission. Seems pretty stable though.

I cut the ends of the bumper just on the outside of the led holes so I still have 2 little lights in the front. The roof light bar works pretty good, but I might mount one of the Oreilly's light bars on the bottom/rear for more ambient light.

I finally put some aluminum knuckles/c hubs on order from China along with some cheap CVD's. I only have 1 spare plastic knuckle left so hopefully they get here fast. Once the steering parts and new winch come in, I should be set for a little while.
