Haha! I am not quite that old, but it's just sad to see that a lot of the fields I used to grow corn and hay and the pastures where I use to have cattle are now big developments filled with mcmansions and townhouses.

Lol I'm just messin, I feel ya man. Urban expansion is ridiculous in this area. I cant even tell when i leave Ashburn and hit Leesburg anymore. It seems like you have to go southwest or out to WV to find places that are untouched by NoVA. its like Mordor sweeping over the lands.

So aside from putting it in the bed, what other options are there?

 

Looking for recommendations to mount a hi-lift in the bed using the rails. I oredered the T-Bolts and now need to find a mount for the jack and plate.

 

What was broke, and what did it cost you?

 

I have a set of lightly used mounts that I just took off my truck...

 

You can mount it vertically in the bed, strap it to the roof (wouldn't recommend that) or get some sort of tailgate holder. Whether it's a bumper with a swingout, wilco swingout, or wilco tailgate with a built in tire carrier. I know someone selling one if that's the route you wanna go. $1,000 when it retails for $1500+shipping and the $300 Rigid lights are included as well.

Holy shit. 2nd gen was like a 30 min job, and that was taking my time. Passenger side needed airbox removed, and driver side needed the pcv hose moved.

 

I'm not heading to Solace... Too far for me to drive after a few drinks.

Sometimes I think these engineers get paid bonus to make vehicles harder to work on. I remember that episode of mythbusters where the guys were complaining that they had to remove the passenger tire to change the battery.

 

SPC UCAs came today! First component of my lift. I'm going to wait until black friday to get everything else I "need."

 

The transfer case actuator failed/broke. Cost me just under 2k
