Why not skim through first page to see if it’s a repost or not?

Doesn't matter if it's a repost. It was on most no news feeds.

Regardless, it's some pretty cheap advertisement.

$50k for a truck vs $50k for a 15 seconds of TV time.

I wouldn't be able to supply the owner with a truck fast enough.

I totally agree this is some r/hailcorporate level bottom-feeding shit that will likely get spun in to some kind of commercialization, at least this dude gets a free truck as a result! Before the interwebz, Toyota just uses this in a commercial.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
But they'll deny warranties for inexpensive repairs and blame it on a characteristic of the vehicle. That's the real fire.

I wonder if Toyota picked the colour for him and gave him a inferno.

Rockstar garage said they wanted to build his new truck for sema next year on their dime, might end up being pretty cool if they actually do it

I posted this story yesterday and it is amazing what certain folks pull from it.

1.) people helping others in a time of disaster in there local area (Toyota driver and loader operator) and sharing this with others.

2.) huuummmmppphh = cheap advertising opportunity for Toyota.

    In my opinion
#1 are the folks you see out there (fire fighters, nurses, cops, good Samaritans, folks helping others before themselves - ones avoiding the press trying to help others)
#2 are fuckers in/on the media complaining, playing victim card, me me me me mine mine mine type folks)

Yes I am going to copy this my thread as well - blast me if you want

Agreed! I don't give a flying f*ck about their free advertising if any company is going to do something nice for somebody. They'll advertise regardless.

I hope they hook his guy up with more than an SR5!

My dad’s ‘87 4Runner had it’s clutch go completely smooth on the beach around 250k..he used it! Stayed on the beach all day and he got out with no help. Drove it 300miles home and in to town. Long story short, Toyota wanted to use it in a commercial. My dad was like well it’s my truck what do I get out of the deal? Parts? Labor? Nope..we just use YOUR truck in a commercial! That was back in ‘98.They do know how to work an advertisement!
To be fair.. in ‘95 a dealer did offer an even trade for new 4Runner..Nope! The top didn’t pop! LoL

But it is cool to help a guy out that helped others..Too bad they couldn’t hook everyone up that helped, I am sure he wasn’t the only one...
