    I use the Rocky mounts HM mounted to the front of the bed. Works well but sometimes I do get sick of removing the front wheel.

    I just pop the front wheel off and set the bike on the front fork, facing backwards (granted I have a bed mat to protect the bottom of the forks) and use straps to hook on the bars. Quick easy and works with having a topper.

    That was a concern of mine as well. No scratches I can see yet. But I will probably have the tailgate wrapped soon.

    This and that...
    Yeah mine turns tan on the dirt roads, like filthy mountain moon dust, but easier to wipe off than dried bugs.
