If the limited is a deal then go for it man. For under 30k definitely a good price. Like someone had mentioned above a lift and some different wheels and tires make the truck look a lot better. I am with you on getting rid of all the chrome... you can always plastidip or paint too.

I’m pretty sure they go for over 40k brand new, that’s a good price.

Buy a loaded Sport or Off Road loaded, full waranty for 32k.

You can’t buy a new loaded sport or off road for 32k. MSRP would be around 39 for a MT and 40 for an auto. for example I got almost 4K off on my loaded off road and it’s still 35k... and that is a good discount for a Tacoma.

I did everything your talking about in your first post, only thing I haven’t done yet is the handles cause they are smart key so big money.

Reason I bought a Limited over the sport was for the JBL which is only available in Limited in Canada and the brown leather interior.

Will have a new picture in a week or so when my Bilstein 6112/5160 get installed, bought some Ray 10s and Falkens also.

It’s kind of hard to see in that picture but I don’t see sunroof so if you don’t have sunroof means you don’t have the premium package which means your truck is not fully loaded.

If you think it's a great deal, go for it and keep it as a Limited for a year or so and slowly make changes as desired. I have a Limited 2016 4Runner and it's a dream.

Didn't want it on either and to me that's loaded. It would have added another 1700 bucks to it .Pckud up an AMG from the same dealership Mercedes division brand new for 14%off sticker. That's hard to get. However mine two Tacomas were stickersd at 39k with bed covers, bed Matt's, exhaust tips, tinted windows. If this wasn't the internet I would be happy to show my buyer invoice and the titles paid in full, no leins.

If you can get it for under 30k, that is a good price. My 2018 Limited msrp was 43 something, something.
Got it for 37k. So in your case, you can modify, and still be in good shape with a warranty to boot.

I'm in the process of converting my Limited over to a Pro / OR. Some of the things I've found are as follows but not limited (no pun intended) to :

Grill (few options, OEM for a ridiculous price, or get a knock off w/ garnish)
Tails (RockAuto has them for under $200 for blacked out similar to OEM)
    Badges
    Hood
    Skid Plates
    Suspension
    Rims

As you said, crawl control and the like are not needed on my end although they'd be nice. I'm about 1000 miles into my 18 Limited, any questions just let me know.

Ok, so an OR or a Sport with a sun roof and leather is loaded but it's not a limited. To me that's loaded as well. I wanted a SR5 which is loaded with the features I wanted but I got a great deal on the Sports and watched both come in on the trucks from the ports. I'm done with this. In the end I'm happy with what I have.

As long as you are happy with your purchase that is all that matters. Enjoy your trucks!

Are you going to help OP get the same deal with your dealer buddy? If not, how is that relevant to this discussion?
