Auto Shop Just Dripped Oil on my Cenbter Console!

I just got back from getting my oil changed at the Valvoline Automasters shop in town and when i get out of the truck I notice theres a puddle of oil on my center console! Ive tried everything I can think of to get it out but its still faintly there. I called and told them about it and they said they had something to remove it but I'll just have to see about that I guess. Anybody got any suggestions for getting this stain out?

 

Good thing it's not your seat. If worse comes to worse it should be easy to replace. If the individual store doesn't help go higher up and I'm sure they'll help.

 

I use corn starch straight out of a box to get oil and grease out of clothes, seats etc. You put a small amount on the stain and work it in a bit then let it dry. Once dry you brush it or vacuum it off. Repeat if necessary then follow with a cleaner appropriate for the material. Simple green for hard surfaces, upholstery cleaner for cloth or washing detergent for clothes. The corn starch absorbs the oil lifting it out. Sorry that happened to you.

I wouldn't even try to get it out, I would just take it back to them and tell them if they can't get it out they're buying you a new console.

 

They got it out. It's only very slightly there so i'm relieved.
