RCI never responds back lol. I went with a KB Voodoo bed rack. Very happy with my purchase and got a discount on it.

Are there separate racks for the 05-15 model and 16+?
Aren't the dimensions of the beds different?

The RCI bed rack will accommodate 05-18' Tacomas no problem.

I’ve looked at the Victory 4X4 rack they Mack just because it’s designed to clear the cab with the right attachments. The first one i came across was the KB Voodoo. Fell in love with this picture but didn’t want my kayaks to be that high. B95A0CA1-9B99-4C8D-A280-E3510ABC0C27.jpg

I also looked at Victory 4x4 and really liked their rack but did not way to pay $100 more and have to wait so I went with the KB Voodoo Mid rack and I love it. I am working on my own kayak mount for it right now.

Do you know the difference in height between the Two? Victory 4x4 vs. KB Voodoo mid?

Anybody ever successfully modified this with a OEM tonneau? Could you have someone custom Fab some brackets ?

Great thanks! When you finish your mount share please I’d like to see what you came up with. Still on the fence, started looking at regular utility/ladder racks as a fall back.

I hunted through his post history wondering the same thing and i’m pretty sure it’s an Access Vanish with some cuts made to the tonneau’s rails to accommodate the rack. Im hoping to do this same setup soon based on how his turned out.

It is the Access vanish tonneau cover.

You are correct. The best way to tackle this is to get it all lined up and Partially installed, mark out the areas to cut and then remove, cut and reinstall. I posted pics in my OP, you can kind of get a rough idea at least.

is there anyone running this rack on a DCSB that hauls mountain bikes using a tailgate pad? curious if bikes will still fit, any photos would be incredible!

I know I could always add a hitch mount bike rack, but I currently throw bikes over my tailgate and love the convenience of this method. would love to run a bed rack + RTT for longer trips with the bikes.

That's the main reason ill eventually go with kbvoodoo is to work with tonneau covers without cutting.

I have something I fabbed up that will buy me time until I can afford it.

What tent did you buy? Do the Rotopax come up to high for the tent to open up on that side? I’m trying to figure out if I will be able to mount maxtrax and Rotopax to the outside of my rci bed rack and still have a way to lay the tent down without hitting it?
    Thanks

How are you using the bed rack with your bed cover? I am looking to install a rack with a bed cover.
