I'm looking at a topper that is on a 99' tacoma. Does anyone know if it will fit my 03'? I know the bed is the same length but I'm curious about the height of the cab, because I don't think the 99' has the raised ext cab. Here is a link to the one I'm looking at. here

It should fit. The 1999 does have the raised extended cab portion of the cab. And the only thing changed during those year models that I know of is a facelift (lights, grille ect..) and the throttle bodies. So it should fit just fine.

Ok, yeah I'm positive it will fit after talking to the guy. He said he'd take 400 for it, good deal? I believe its a ARE CX, however I don't know what year it is.

$400 is less than half of retail. If it's in good shape (functionally and cosmetically) and the right color, I think it's a fair to good deal.

That was my next thing. If he isn't budging, than 400 is reasonable if it is in great condition.

I got my fiberglass pickup cap for 50 bucks though, which is why I suggested trying to talk him down.

Regular and extended cabs are different toppers - The extended cabs are curved 12 degrees and the regular cabs straight.

Not sure if you need to know that but thought I would throw that out there!

    Yep ...

picked it up yesterday. Looks great on the truck. It has a few flaws, but easy fixes. I'm happy considering what it costs retail. There isn't a model number on it, but I think its the Z series. Called local topper shop and they want $1,800 for it, so I feel pretty good about it.
