We get cyclists that ride up the mountain rd near our home. There are TONS of blind turns, steep drop offs without guard rails, and one lane roads.
Maybe riding up the mountain going 2mph in a 30mph zone, with traffic backing up for 15 cars isnt the best idea, or does the best for cyclist and vehicle driver relations. I live 30 minutes from skyline drive. They should go ride there, its safer.

As a bicyclist nothing pisses me off more than people on bikes not following the laws. I see people on bikes and scooters riding the wrong way in the bike lane, not paying attention to cars, and overall looking like they are about to fall on their face...they give us a bad name

 

It's kinda like the "thank me for my service" veterans that were out all weekend.

As sad as it was 20 yrs ago this month I took out a bicyclist that did not pay attention as was hurt bad but recovered...

 

You know its the number two reason behind finding a dependapotamus.

 

I cant stand the "I demand my military discount" types. And dependasaurusrexs need to gtfo.

So freaking annoying. Most of those types were probably shitbirds when they were in, or worse, they are just making it all up.

Yeah Idk if people still want to go. If we get some people I am down to go but no hard feelings either way. I have two big tests coming up monday and tuesday now that were supposed to be this week so idk what Im going to do now :/

 

I couldn't agree more. I am a cyclist and frequently ride on the road. Please give cyclists at least three feet when passing and also be aware that many cyclist are now running front and rear cameras that double as lights. I know of three incidents in Calvert County in the last year where the Sheriff has paid a visit to drivers aggressive toward cyclists and it couldn't be disputed by the driver because it was captured on camera.

 

That's freaking genius of the bikers.
