Oh, fair enough. I does not have it set up that way, 7th is controlled off the EMS.

What does the UCON do when you're running a water/meth injector? Is it linked to the UCON via expansion harness, or just doing it's thing?

It's just controlling AFR such that all fuel going in, including the methanol, stays constant at whatever target (was about 11.5 when I was at the dyno).

figure I'd ask this in here since I'm the only one in the 1st gen snorkel thread that has a supercharger

Any of you guys running a snorkel kit with your supercharger setup? Did you notice any effect (good or bad) on how the truck runs afterward?

For the most part, my limited research has revealed that it doesn't change much if anything but some people have expressed concern about doing it. I've already installed the snorkel but it isn't hooked up to the air intake just yet (waiting on the OEM inner fender air duct that my truck is missing).

Someone on here several pages back mentioned that it's better to turn the head backward?

I don't have any power upgrades on my s/c setup besides the 7th injector kit so I'm not pushing any more boost really than stock.

I believe @XPOTRPR has a snorkel. He'll have to comment on that.

Now, if you know what's good for you you'll leave because if you don't you'll become infected with the "bug" that has gripped this thread. As it was put yesterday, "we're far away from shore". You already admitted that you want more power upgrades; that was a cry for help. You have a Ucon that you clearly aren't maximizing...

Is it greater than 10.5:1 whenever the truck starts to bog down from running too rich? Or what is the richest you can run without power loss?

In my limited knowledge, you won't notice bogging down at all unless AFR is abominably low, 7.5:1 maybe. Power gains/losses from AFR difference between 10.5:1 and 11.5:1 or even 12:1 would not be noticeable by butt dyno.

Gotcha, seems like I remember reading a while back Torspd said anything richer than 10.5 or 10.0 will cause bogging.. Could be losing my mind though..

Well, not saying I'm totally correct here. I know my car runs at 10-9.5:1 in some WOT conditions, not sure entirely why, it WAS tuned by the best of the best for that car, and I would decidedly say it's not bogging down.

Are you seeing numbers that rich? My AFR gauge doesn't even show anything below 11, lol. I imagine once you start running that rich your going to be doing a lot of damage to the cats, sensors, etc from burning all that extra fuel.

Ha naww, mine likes to run lean. I don't have any cats though, so sensors are really the only thing that could be damaged if it were to get that rich. Im just trying to figure out what is too rich..

Ah that's right, I think we talked about that in another thread a little while ago. Lean is mean though, possibly meaner than too rich...believe me I know lol. Nothing worse than that pinging/rattling sound
