I bet the bypass is not included with that 209. You may need to add another 80 or so for the bypass.

Best Buy has a combination of horrible prices and horrible installers for Viper products. You want the 5700 series... what would you like to know about it?

There are other brands with same features much cheaper. I have a Autopage with LCD remote/ remote start for $300 installed(probably could find it cheaper elsewhere but the installer does great work.) I do agree that Best Buy doesn't have the best quality installation. I would stick with local non-franchised shops. They can show you their own personal vehicles installs so you can check out the quality and detail.

What would one gain with the 5901? Is there any functional use to having the little screen? Any idea if the remote is any larger with the screen than without?

The 5900 series has much longer range than the 5700. Its a totally different attena and frequency use. The remotes are very similar in size but the 5901 is a bit larger/heavier the 5901 primary is rechargeable via USB, and IMO easier to use. The weight and size difference is not enough to matter and they both have the same secondary remotes. I believe the 5901 has an extra input source slot available.
