    After discovering mine were out of spec I torqued to 52. After a bit I decided to try 75, I got worried that was too much and then settled for 60. Just wondering what others are at and why.

    52..if I remember correctly that is the spec on the tsb document regarding the driveline vibrations. Can’t remember the tsb #, but should be in the “list of ts-b’s” sticky thread

    Yeah 52 is spec, but I know that 52ft lbs has been debated and that the boltscould be tourqed higher...

    I always go 80. Stock u bolts, aftermarket u bolts, I don't care. I do 80 in a criss cross pattern as I'm tighetning and I never worry again.

    I’ve had them off a few times putting on/taking off various towing aids like
    Sumo springs and hellwig
    Helpers. Never had an issue at 52, and they are tight AF when attempting to loosen.

    There's a science behind it I'm sure. Size of the bolt determines what it should be torqued to. If my wheel lugs are 83 ft lbs, I'm sure my u-bolts at 85 ft lbs will be fine. I don't want that thing getting loose just like my wheels.
