Hello everyone, my truck was built on the 7th and I should be taking delivery between the 19th and 23rd. (I will do a proper introduction when I have my truck) I want to get clear bra done on the front end. I hear XPEL is good. Any recommendations for shops in the Bay Area?? Thanks!

The plastic everything on the front isn’t going to rock chip, only the metal which is the hood.

You have a good point, but you can still get damage on your plastic bumper from rocks. So I am thinking front bumper fenders hood and mirror caps. Now the issue is I am having is idk if I should do the whole hood or just half of it.. I do don’t the look of the line if you do half of the hood so that is why I am kind leaning tword doing the whole hood...

I’d just do the front edge of the hood. The plastic pieces aren’t going to chip.

But it’s your call, you’ll figure it out

XPEL or Suntek are your best options IMO.

XPEL is the best option in my opinion. XPEL is the industry leader, offering the best clarity, warranty (10 years) and self healing properties. But whatever you do DO NOT go with the Toyota Genuine option (cheap version of 3M clear bra), and DO NOT have the dealer install it. As for why I am saying this, take a look https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/dealership-paint-protection-film-issues.577608/ to see the nightmare I'm living. Also another word of advice, do thorough research on the installer. You want to make sure the installer has 10+ years of experience. Look for examples of the installer's work, better yet see the work in person. Ensure that the installer will repay/fix/refund any damages made during the installation process. Most importantly, make sure the installer is not using a blade on the body of the vehicle itself. If you check the link, you'll see I've been burned with this over the last 2 months, so I'm talking from experience.
