Here's the document that I got from iTronix regarding how to set/unset the different modes.

Forgive me, but what is an MIL light?

Ah, just looked it up. It is the check engine light, lol. Scott told me that it flashes the number of times for which you have the stage tune installed. Once for stage 1, twice for stage 2, thrice for stage 3.

True. However, as my old boss said, if you're building a project car with as much go-fast stuff as possible, you're going to stop caring about MPG at some point...

    Pros:

    Cleaner air
Cooler (closer to ambient) temps vs drawing from fender/engine bay
    Cleaner air

    Cons:
slight restriction (I see about half a pound of boost lost with the snorkel)
stuck using factory filter ( I use an oiled K&N and removed my secondary filter)

I mentioned cleaner air twice.. because to me.. that is well worth anything else that comes with a snorkel. I've had my truck go into limp mode a couple times out on the trail due to a dirty filter (AFE/TRD) before I got my snorkel. That was the main purpose of installing mine. We get so much dust out here on Arizona trails that I needed the cleaner air. I'm even wanting to replace the head with a ~10" pre-filter. As for the temps.. my readings on Torque showed my intake temps considerably lower as well. much closer to ambient than the previous temps with my AFE. I havent had any real "problems" with mine. Just that half pound of boost loss. I tested that via Torque/AEM gauge and disconnecting the snorkel where it meets the factory airbox. Of course, its then a hot air intake, but.. without the restriction. Now the snorkel vs say the AFE, you might see a pound or so difference IMO. I cant recall my readings back then to compare. Overall.. worth it IMHO.

So my truck has been in stage 2 since I had it installed? Is this part of the reason I am still rich and can't generate much boost? LOL but I know I am going well over 1900 rpm. Scott should be responding to my email soon so he can look into my truck/tune. I wonder if I should try to change what mode it is in? Any thoughts?

Oh it doesn't matter to me. But some it does. Pulled 7-9 mpg to and from CA last weekend. 30+mph headwind both ways and extra wind resistance from the bike

    IMG_3130.jpg

Then around 4.5mpg playing in the dunes

Nice, I like to support the oil industry as well. Since I work in it and all, it just makes sense.

Thank you. And I believe I should have stage 2. I just emailed Scott today so I am sure he will be responding to me pretty soon.

Had the black TRD blower...I think it was the revised 2nd gen after the grey one. Installed it with the TRD 7th injector right from the beginning. Got about 7 psi boost stock.

Nice truck you have too. I'm happy with black but man its hard to keep clean

Confirmed. New BMW M4 is slightly faster than I am. I did get a nod from the guy though.

Need different wheels and tires. Less weight will equate to nearly 30hp. Then I might provide some pucker factor.

You got a link? I keep getting P0136/0138, P0156/0158 on the interstate. I figure the rear sensors are going bad since the code pops 1-2weeks routinely along with the cats. I am looking to replace the cats with aftermarket high flow ones when I put in the DT short tubes.

Smiles per gallon for this guy haha

So, great news. I just moved back to NC from WA. I just checked on registering and emissions, turns out my county is doing away with emissions testing on 1DEC2018. Huge win for me.

This makes me ask the question:

Since I just bought DT shorties and was going to weld in high flow cats, can I just install the headers and extend the y pipes to meet up with the headers? (If I move later on down the road, I assume I will just be able to cut out the extended pipe and then add the cats later).

    Please advise :)
