Nikon makes a 70-300 VR zoom that is pretty solid. I don't think that lens is the VR version. It looks like it is this one.

    https://www.amazon.com/Nikon-70-300...8&qid=1542216094&sr=8-5&keywords=nikon+70-300

Nikon recently discounted the D750 so I would consider just getting the camera and then doing more research on lens and buying them separately.

Here is the better quality VR lens.

Also just realized the 18-140 is a crop sensor lens which is a joke since this is a FF camera. I would avoid this bundle at all cost.

Personally I'd go for this one without all the extra crap you don't need and will throw away anyway. Plus you get the battery grip with it and free overnight shipping.

That 500mm lens is crap in that kit. You would be better off saving some money to put into good gear over paying for crap gear.

Yeah that's useless on a FF camera. Switches to crop mode and lowers the resolution.

    Things and Stuff.
I too am looking at picking up either the D750 or the D810 for video purposes, and I’d say that bundle is Not worth it at all. All that stuff is fluff, like you said and those lenses are for their dx line of cameras. The d750 is a full frame camera. You’d be better off buying the body on eBay as well as one or two FX lenses. I personally like the sigma lenses. I have the 24-70 and the 70-200 for my Nikon D3 and have been blown away at their quality of glass, quality image rendering as well as their price. I even went the sigma route for my leica m6.

You will definitely see the difference using the good glass with that camera. Use a decent one as a starter and invest in the 2.8 glass that will last a long time. You can pick up a 24-70 or the 70-200 2.8's for 1000-1100 used. Generally people who spend $1800-$2000 on glass take care of their equipment and sell it reasonably.

yep - crappy glass will seriously reduce that D750 FF to a crappy camera in a blink.

Thanks...I've been researching the heck out of the D750, but I'm not up to speed yet on Nikon lenses, which is why I asked. All the info posted is helpful.

Spend some time on Youtube looking at reviews and figuring out what you need for the type of shooting you do. You can save a lot of money buying lenses used once you know what you are looking for. I have the nicer FF Nikon 70-300 VR and found it for $300 used locally.

I shoot everything...close ups of the moon, wildlife, light painting, people, etc.

What I want to do better is landscapes, and I want to get into astrophotography a bit, low light, city at night photos, and I also have thoughts about maybe making money someday with senior pictures and things like that. No weddings though! I don't need that stress.

So yeah, I'm looking for a set up that can do a bit of everything.

You probably can get away with most wide angle lens maybe a sigma 24 1.4 will take care of the things you want to shoot maybe a kit lens after that to cover the rest or go for the non autofocus lenses for a fraction of the price till you can get the lens you want

Doesn’t the D750 have a motor in it where he can use the D lenses without focus motors in them and save a little?
