If I get a tricep pump it debilitates me from using that arm becuase it travels into the shoulder.

Bench is the exercise that will aggrivate my rotator cuff the most. I have zero issues with pure shoulder movements.
I still do my PT to keep my cuff working and strong but if I have some issues typically benching to the point where my elbows don’t go behind my back helps. It looks like your a dip doodle doing half reps but its better than nothing.

Did you figure out what is wrong?

I find it very difficult to do any isolation tricep exercises comfortably. I can’t do anything heavy so I usually just do very high rep.
I pretty much can only use the cable machine. Any weights over my head are not an option. That flexility is not there.

Arm work is relatively unimportant anyways so I guess no real loss :notsure:

I wouldn’t say savage. I just have no concern of what happens later.

Nope. Haven’t gone a dr yet. I watched a ton of YouTube for mobility and have been doing those almost every workout. That test I did before where you cross you arm over and put you hand on opposite shoulder then lift up elbow...Hawkins test I think? Before doing the mobility I couldn’t even move my arm at all. Besides pain it was pretty much locked in place. Now I can move it up a couple inches so I’m getting there. I bought that shoulder crossover symmetry thing. Hopefully that helps too.

For arms do you ever try blood flow restriction exercises? Those would help with your tricep thing since you can go light and still get benefit.

You should get it looked at.
You’re too young to be limited due to shoulder injury.

I have not heard of the blood flow restriction training. Sounds interesting.

I do cable stuff with light weights after shoulder/chest day. So my triceps are tired anyways. I tend to agree with Jim Wendlers principle if you are able to do heavy weights on arms right after your bench or shoulder press days... you didn’t bench or press with a good effort.

I like the light stuff I just want to find more variety in movements I can do.
My gym gets packed and the cable machines get sucked up. Between the shoulder and cubital tunnel I have a hard time finding exercises to do.
I don’t necessarily want to lift heavy but using more than a 5lb dumbell might be nice lol.

I will warn you there is a major learning curve with them. Its a PITA for the first several times you use it. You almost have to relearn how to cook lol

I like it for soups so I don’t have to simmer it in my dutch oven on the stove top for two hours. I need me some high protien man soup recipies. :muscleflexing:

    Cardio before or after weights?

I tend to lift better 15/30 minutes after cardio. Any thoughts? I only just started doing it this way.

    LOL

I do 5-10 mins light cardio every time before to warm up, then 15-20 moderate cardio afterwards depending on what I’m working.

 sup? We have a Texas health thread but it’s dead AF. Found this so wanted to sub and see what everyone else is up to on here. I started this journey messing around at 217-218lbs. Cut out soda and “dieted” until about 202lbs. Then I got MyFitnessPal and got serious about macros and tracking calories. Recently dropped 4lbs over night almost due to being sick but lost 30lbs total before that. So far at 34-35lbs down tho thanks to the sickness lol. Goal weight was 180 but now that I’m at 183, I see I can cut some more pounds of fat before starting the bulk phase and getting gains

I do 10-20 minutes after my weights.

I have a dedicated cardio day for more hardcore stuff. I consider it my “active rest day”.

Better than it shutting down your entire account and you had to start a whole different account because the MFP tech support couldn’t unlock you.

All my saved foods fucking gone.
