Why not have a local fabricator make you what you want? A bed rack made of tubing and welded will definitely take a beating.

So far I’m really happy with my choice of going with the long bed rack on my short bed. Personally I think it looks better and it adds more space to mount things on. The only downside is not being able to add a bed extender if u ever plan to add one.

There are plenty of us on here that could build you whatever you dream up for much less than $1500.00. If you tear up a rack I've built, you've probably totaled the truck .

3 of the 4 vertical members, about mid way up near bed rail height. Near other tube junctions or gussets.

    Whose video?

The bed bars and stiffeners is a good set up. That's what I'm running. Made a custom bed divider to add some extra mounting points.

I’ve had the Leitner rack for about two months now. It’s well built and easy to install(no drilling) I got an Alu Cab tent mounted on top!

Side note on the Voodoo. Going to be a chance the paint is going to split. Not going to argue or debate it.

The rack itself is a neat design. I'll be adding gussets to mine this spring. And since I've repainted mine the right way, zero paint issues. Has made it 5x longer with no paint deffects compared to the 2-3 months when I first got it .

It's a shame he won't just toss a cheap coat of primer on them and ship them that way.

And btw I do like the company and the owner. Just wish the paint deal was different. Wasn't that big of a deal for me. I got over it. Personal choice

Or just ship them bare. It's a lot easier to prep with light surface rust rather than having to prep with faulty powder and rust.

I personally would have preferred that to. But as a business owner I understand his concern with shipping them like that .

I did 5 coats of Rust-Oleum and clear coated it. I've got 2 spots that I need to touch up that we're problem spots at the base metal from day one. But after doing that this spring I'm sure it'll be fine for a long while. And I use the crap out of both my racks

Every other vendor ships their stuff raw. Not sure why it's of particular concern to them. I just received a raw skid from mobtown in the spring and raw sliders from all pro in when they were closer to the east coast in the winter. Neither one had issues with rust. The sliders showed more rust in the week they were sitting outside my house in CA than they did from shipping.
