There was a Mustang on the side of the road this morning on my drive in as well. It looked like they either just pulled off or slid off without all the theatrics of your coworker.

Unless the roads get real shitty, I should be there.

It's more likely that he mashed the brakes when he started sliding and just kept going around because he had no traction at all. If he's on summer tires, it gets sketchy fast in the snow/ice.

Never had a problem in the ice/snow only being 2wd in my truck.

No traction control in 08 either. Just ABS which sucks sometimes.

 

I put in an ABS kill switch. So glad I did. Tricks my truck into thinking the rear locker is on, even though it’s an SR5. Let’s me switch it off and on on the fly.

 

I do hate my abs kicking in at the slightest slip....maybe will go for that sometime.

Nice. I've heard of the ABS kill switch before, but I've never really looked into it. For whatever reason, I thought it just worked for the new trucks with traction control.

 

All you have to do is splice one wire with an ON-ON switch. So either the wire is connected or it’s grounded. Very easy.

The funny part about it is that he asked me about the conditions of the road before he left his house. I told him I did not see many RWD cars, mostly AWD/4WD type vehicles on my way into work and they all seemed to be doing fine. I recommended against driving his Mustang (its a V6 by the way) into work. So what does he do? The exact opposite of what I suggested lol. He's a wonderful chap though.

 

Another victim of the not even an inch of snow. It looks like she hit the curb.



The 2nd officer who arrived on scene was behind me for like three miles and I didn't notice him because I didn't know they still used Crown Vics in Alexandria haha. He coulda pulled a sneaky on me if he wasn't busy.
