I know that wasn't directed at me, but I loved the Michelin AT2s on my F150, and now my F250. The tires that come on the FX4 package, Pirelli Scorpion ATR, are absolutely terrible! They're heavy and perform like crap when the road is even a little bit wet.

I gotta look exactly what they are. Just wasn’t positive about them since there’s been a couple times coming from a stop on wet pavement my tires have slipped. Never had an issue with the wildpeaks on my tacoma. Was thinking about getting a set for the ford

I was between the Wildpeak AT3 W and the Cooper AT3 4S. They were the only two tires with the severe snow rating that were reasonably priced and didn't weigh a ton. Ended up with the Coopers since the reviews on the Falkens were very hit or miss. They're actually quieter than the Michelins that came on my truck. Good looking tire too:

As soon as the stocks wear out on my truck I am getting a set of the Michelin LTX At2s. Those things are like witchcraft they work so well, or at least were on my Tacoma.

so what happens when all your brake hardware/lines are rusted to shit and won't come off? Do they replace it all for free or do they start billing you for that stuff? There were so many impossibly rusted bolts when i was doing my front brake job and that was just to get to the head of the brake lines at the calipers and the first crimp holder...I can't imagine removing all that from the frame and they re attaching it to a new truck...They must do that, and then fluid/bleed?

BTW Winter gas JF'n C...So close to $300 past 30 days on gas...Filled up today. The idiot light went on at 319 instead of 354...when my idiot light goes on I have 3 gallons left. So I said wtf and threw my 2 gallon (Full) gas can in my truck to see what my real close to death vs indicator on the fuel gauge was....I filled up today with 379.6 miles, 21.225 gallons (our tank lists as 21 gallons?) so I was on fumes but the fuel gauge was where it is in the summer to indicate i still have at least 2 gallons left. WTF is up with the fuel gauge randomly not sinking properly in the winter? In the summer I can run it down past the "empty line" at 6 o'clock and it can still go all the way to about 7 o'clock. Today it wasn't even at 6 o'clock and I put 21.225 gallons in it? 21.225 gal in the summer is 420+ miles...

They are replacing the frame and all the fuel lines and brake lines as well as a bunch of hardware and a few other pieces. Itll all be bled and done and pretty with of course a fresh alignment at the end.

How long ago was that? I did notice that the Michelin AT2 that came stock on my 2013 F150 were really, really good. When I replaced them with a newer set, the tread pattern was slightly different. They were still really good, but a little less than the original set. They closed off the shoulder slightly and it made them a little less confident in heavy rain and slushy snow. The new set that I have on my F250 appear to be the old design and I'm not sure if the whole line went back to the old design, or if the LT tire line never changed.

Its funny, when I had my frame replaced, I completely forgot about the extended rear diff breather, and I confused the crap out of the technician! When I went to pick up the truck, and talk to him, he told me how he had 4 people lifting the bed off, and he would be checking to see if everything is disconnected, but the breather line was still in place, and he had no idea what was holding the bed down! He did figure it out, but just after a few attempts.

Well, I think I would have put them on my Gen 2 in 2015 or so? Guessing? I didn't know they changed them up. Why they gotta change a good thing? Dammit!

Just had the good folks in Portland Rust Check the truck. So that's hopefully going to keep it from looking like it did when I got it, for a while at least.

You were right on the cusp of the new ones. My 'newer' set came off of a 2016 F150 but the tires had a '15 fabrication mark on them. They were still a really good tire, so much so that I bought them again for the F250 to replace the Continentals that came on it.
