I had one. It worked well. The only reason I sold it was because often the loads I carry is larger than the space under the cover. I loved it on my old fullsize truck with a deeper and longer bed, but didn't work out so well in the Tacoma. Wish it did. Much cheaper and loved the ease of removal compared to a shell (which is what I'll be getting).

By the way, I noticed no MPG change with and without the tonneau cover.

Also sold it for $450, with all the hardware (swapped the rails with the buyer).

I have a tonneau cover and really like it when traveling. I do take it off quite often when I have items to large to fit under it. I have debated selling it but always change my mind. Guess it really depends on how you are going to use your truck.

That's a good point! I too struggled with the height with the Bakflip. That extra 1-2 inches on the OEM tonneau made a big difference for me. The OEM design seems to have cooler and suitcase dimensions in mind that get comprised with a flush low profile tonneau.

My dealer told me I could always buy it after the purchase so I didn't order it with one. After I bought the truck I asked if I could add the tonneau and they said I couldn't I went to another dealer that told me the same thing. Stupid salesmen will say anything to make a sale.

It's worth saying that if you're converting from no tonneau to a tonneau you need to cut or replace the sidereal covers and install brackets. I bought KBVoodoo's sidereal covers with the cutouts and freaking love them. So I still have the uncut OEM plastic covers if I want to go back.

My reason for wanting to get one is all of the logical reasons, protect stuff when traveling from theft, grocery shopping, etc.

I have a Bakflip and I love it works not have a truck without one! Added some silicon to the rail seals and it keeps pretty much all the water out... Folds up easy if you need to use the bed.

I went with the Bakflip as well, I would recommend the Toyota bed mat if you get one it will help keep things from rolling and sliding inside for the most part like luggage etc. Highway cruising you MPG is certainly improved by 1-2 MPG pretty easy to get 25 average keeping at 70-75 if it's mostly flat high 26's to low 27's. I would keep expensive things in there because if someone wants to get in they can unless you get a Diamond Back cover which is a bit more secure but a bit more weight. Lots of options.

I got the factory Tonneau. Like the other poster I added the pop and lock. Great for keeping tents/chairs etc for kids sports games. Also keeps out the occasional person who thinks your truck bed is a garbage can.

I have the OEM cover and it’s very nice.

Would I get it again? Probably not. I’m probably one of the few who prefer a fabric cover. They allow you to fit items under the cover that may stick up a little higher than the bed rails.

I went with Diamond back and wished I got it sooner. It's weather proof, and could easily be taken off within 15 minutes or less. The locks also gave me a piece of mind with all the gear I carry in the back. Only down side is the diamond back will cost you a pretty penny.

I have had my Access Low profile for almost 10 years now. It has held up well with some wear along the ridge line close to the back of the bed. Overall I am satisfied with the look and the performance of the roll up. It allows me to do everything I wanted to do when I purchased the truck.

My son just purchased a used 2013 Ford F150 and we purchased an Access Laredo for his truck. The cover is now made of a different material that may last longer :notsure:
We bought it from a shop in AZ for almost $60 less than anywhere else I could find. Ordered it first thing in the AM and it was here the next day with no shipping charges.

The biggest understated value of any cover is your Tacoma is no longer everyone's trash can.

I planned to add a tonneau cover before I purchased my Taco. I ended up going with the OEM soft trifold. No complaints as it does the job of keeping what I have in the box out of sight and mostly dry. I believe it compliments the look of the truck.

I have a Softopper I love. Easy up, easy down.

Never understood the draw to the tonneau style covers. They are just a cover that ends up constantly in the way.

My deal is I want to be able to haul things in the rain. Tonneaus don’t allow you to haul anything large and give you protection.

Love mine. I can keep stuff secure and out of the elements without having to take up valuable cab space. Plus it's easy-ish to remove for when I'm hauling larger items.

Purchased a North Mountain soft roll for $150 off Amazon, affordable and does the job of protecting things from weather and theft as well as easy to roll up when I have something in the bed that doesn't fit under the cover.

I have a Roll-Up Access Lorado. I really like it paired with the Pop N Lock for some added casual theft protection. I don't keep things in the bed but for times we go to the store it is nice to have something hidden and not a quick theft.

As far as regrets I don't really like how the rails for the cover block so much of the bed rails. Overall I'm very happy with it and it rolls totally out of the way when I need to haul something large.

I have a Gator Hybrid cover and I like it. It was easy to install and it's easy to remove if I need the full bed.

I got it because we do a lot of camping and it helps keep all my stuff secure and dry. I also use for the same reasons most of the others in here use it for.

I like how the rails set on top of the bed rails better than being hung on the insides of the bed rails like the TruXedo Lo Pro I use to have. I'm either going with the Lorado or the Extang Trifecta 2.0 this time.

I have the OEM tonneau but it isnt water proof. It leaks if its raining but really great for securing of items when the cab is full.

Last year, we went shopping on Black friday but didnt have much room in the cab. We still bought a ton of stuff from Home Depot and we could still close the cover and tailgate so we could go to Costco after.

Oh, and forgot to mention, my 4-wheel rolling cooler fits in the bed with the cover closed. I just love it!
