If there can be an adaptor to the R-series transmission and use my existing transmission system, then I don't mind doing something like this. Custom engine mounts are easy, but the wiring would be something else - though I have some ideas...

You also live in California so you would pretty much have to turn it into and off-road only truck.
You could drop in a V6 now. Everything bolts up pretty much. Just buy a wrecked truck on copart and pet it out when you're done

    Wheels look nice!

FYI The Testors Enamel takes a long time to cure. Honestly, it probably takes several days.

These are the tinted version. Although tinted, the park/brake/directional lights are really bright. The reverse lights are horrible. Black housing and tinted lens is the issue. LEDs didn't even help. Maybe some of the high-end LEDs will take care of the issue, but I haven't decided which ones I wanna try first.

That would be an LS motor with twin turbos swapped in.

there are a handful of counties that bypasses bi-annual smog... so I'm not really too concerned about smog at this point.... I was thinking about the V6 option... either way, I got quoted 5.5K for a reman engine w/ a 3 year warranty... needless to say, my boss tells me our bathroom renovation comes first.... like fakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. ... but 5.5k is sorta my budget at this point....

If I were to go this route, screw the core swap - I can rebuild my old engine at my leisure to accommodate a supercharger..... 4 cylinders is less than 6 cylinders and its a drop in process....

4cyl plus supercharger is so silly. You can drop in a V6 for less. Be faster, wayyyy more reliable and use cheaper gas.

I miss my old 09' Pre-Runner ... I do regret down sizing. The 4 cylinder gives me a day more of gas compared to my old V6 but I do know what your talking about....
