Lol were alike. I've got Porter Cable power tools (driver, impact, circular saw, etc etc). Everything else is HF and I love it.

Vulcan welders increased their price. These seem to be on the cheaper side.

Harbor freight has so many deals throughout the year that it’s possible the best price on some items isn’t even during Black Friday

Got to use my $19 HF rotating handle sawzall to rip apart an old tin shed. Worked great. I like to use cheapo tools for jobs like this where I'm just abusing the heck out of them...ramming them in the dirt, etc. HF fits the bill perfectly. Save the good tools for other projects.

I just changed my brake fluid a few days ago and the Slim Bar Folding LED Worklight was a big help. I find myself always reaching for it when the doing DIY projects. Having A replaceable battery means never having to wait for a recharge. I just ordered 2 Samsung lithium battery for under $10, so I will keep those on hand when needed.

As much as those items have crept up in price I'm not surprised they would start offering coupons

I agree with you here. That welder ad a few posts back is showing only a $150 price difference between them and Esab. May as well pay for a good name brand and customer support if thats all the difference. I feel like HF's marketing team is starting to defeat the purpose of HF with these newer lines and their accompanying price increases.
That said, I like my HF stuff and Ill keep buying as long as it stays in a reasonable price range for Chinese tools. But Ive moved on to better brands on some things as the price aint all that much more these days.

    I dunno?

If I had to choose, if take the HF welder. 2 year unconditional warranty? Sign me up!

Where can you replace the Esab unit in a rush? Most HF's are open 7 days a week and evenings. Most of my projects occur on weekends and evenings. If the HF unit fails in less than 2 years, I might change my tune.

Who said youd have to replace the Esab in the first place. :p If I buy Esab I expect it to last longer than whatever the hell "titanium" is. Parts are available at any national welder supply house sold by guys who know their stuff, not some yayhoo making minimum wage.

This is true. But does the average, Joe, hobby welder need that kind of welder?

I'm trying to think like a weekend welder, not a carreer welder.

If thats the case, knock yourself out. I built many projects with my chinese flux welder. But once I started welding as a job, I realised I wanted a bit more/better unit at the house to do what I wanted to do.
