U can’t talk to turd gen people. They know everything and nothing at the same time. Mind blowing! I’m a toyota master tech and tried to comment on a couple threads and just got told I don’t no what I’m talking about. Now I just laugh at the threads

 

I can't stand the majority of those guys. You could be the father of all automobiles and engine theory of operation, and they'll still tell you to GFY and that you don't know what you're talking about. That's why it's best to stick to a thread which is full of highly informed, open minded dudes.

Consistency is the vital ingredient for this forum. Lol.

 

Agreed! There are a lot of intelligent people here and a lot of good ideas are discussed and have been put to use. Yourself included!

 

Any of you that have had Scott remote into you had him not do it at the time stated? Or am I doing something wrong. I sent him the ID and password for my TeamViewer I downloaded but haven't heard from him at all. Even sent him an another email. I am sure something has came up, but I just don't know how easy or hard it is to do this stuff or if I had something wrong you would think he would have emailed me? maybe? And he is on the east coast correct? So 8pm to him is 6PM mountain time right? LOL

Well I feel pretty damn dumb, I just googled Pacific time, thinking for sure that was the east coast. Nope it is the west coast. He is an hour behind me. LOL

 

I always just go on google and get it to convert it for me.. Sounds like you got the times mixed up..

Mods first priority.

 

Are our afr's supposed to always be 14.7? Do they progressively drop to 11 once at wot? Or hold at 14.7 then drop as soon as you floor it? Am I the only one with ovtune, 2.5, and full exhaust here? Just checking. If need be I'll go back to the trd tune to be safe. Thoughts?

 

I’ve got degree in vehicle design and have participated in building cars and engines from scratch. I’ve been told the same thing over there. Not really fair to group all 3rd gen owners together but it is certainly more prevelent in that section.

 

Ok, Silly question time.

What kind of boost numbers are you guys seeing with a 2.8” pulley? I haven’t had a gauge until very recently. I’m seeing like 6.5 psi max. Seems lower than I would’ve thought.

Relevant mods are:
TRD cai (1st gen)
JBA shorties. Still have all four cats.
TRD exhaust.
Pulleyboys setup with 2.8” pulley.

I really don’t think the belt is slipping. Boost is solid and consistent. Just lower than I thought it would be with a 2.8.

 

That's about what I had.

 

I’ve got the 2.5 ready to go. Just need a shorter belt and a better tensioner. What’re you seeing with that 2.5?

 

You should only need to run rich under boost.

 

Which gauge? Ha ha. I'm getting slightly different readings. 8.5 to 9.5.

 

I get 7 with the 2.825
