Door chime 3rd gen Tacoma

Only complaint about the 3rd gen Tacoma is the damn door chime, might be the most annoying beeping sound, the ford has the most satisfying sound, is there any way I can change it so it sounds like the ford one?

 

It’s in the preferences section of your etune unit under body control module/comfort preferences. You can upload any sound you like via the usb port. Mine plays No sleep till Brooklyn every time I open the door.

Wait door chime? I don’t ever remember a door chime...

What about the seatbelt chime? I hate that shit

 

That's easy. The Carista app or TechStream allows you to shut those off at home.

Tell us more about uploading a song using the USB port to change the door chime

 

Next time you're in for service, ask them to turn it off. Page 601 in the manual iirc.

I feel just the opposite. I'd commit harakiri if I had to listen to the Ford chime all the time.
