Looking at local truck for sale that I'm really considering. Everything looks on the up and up, just wanted a sanity check from the TW brothers. Here's the specs from the dealer:

"Locally owned and driven this 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4X4 is STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY and equipped with upgrades like 17" Method NV305 Rims, All-terrain Nitto Ridge Grappler 285 70 17 hybrid tires, OEM Audio Plus Stereo, Bartack Custom Seat Covers, 3 Inch Leveling Kit/ Icon Shocks, LED light bar, TRD Pro grill."

13,000 miles they are asking $35,900. Maybe someone knows the past owner or anything about this truck? Thank you!

Costco price on a new 2018 TRDOR DCLB 4x with no tech no premium in the greater Seattle area a couple months ago was under 35k. Just a rough reference point for ya.

Yeah, seems about right. I am definitely doing a PPI to look for frame damage or anything shady. The truck looks like a mall crawler though.....probably hasn't seen dirt.

    Nice Taco!:burnrubber:
I'd bargain with them down to $30K - $32K. I'm sure they paid (-)$28K for it and it's almost a two year old truck, give them a fight if you really want it. Brand new ones are not that much more than $36K. Good luck

Pre Purchase Inspection. If I purchase the truck in California, but register it in Oregon, do I still pay California sales tax?

I paid 32 for a new one. Stock. I wouldn't pay more for someones mods and miles.
    It looks good though.

Oh and I guaran-fucking-tee that the warranty won't cover shit if you have a driveline or some other issue. Dealer will blame the mods. Vibes, shake, shifting, or any type of issues which these trucks tend to have stock.

Which is ugly the fuel or method? I like them both but fuel is becoming such a “preppy” kind of thing now. All the preppy people that use to drive them little hondas with fart cans that have a truck now are getting them

I don't like the methods. I have no idea what fuels you're talking about.
And not trying to talk shit or anything. Genuinely enjoy the different opinions people have here

I don't like the look of Fuels, and see them in shopping malls a lot. Methods make some serious off road capable forged wheels, so not sure why people are hating other than if they don't like how they look. Personally I think Method and SCS make the best aftermarket wheels for Tacoma's.

Yeah, totally judging on looks only here. When (honest, I'm gonna) I get my 19, it's going to be a rubber upside, eventual lift, and then I'll look at rims weight et Al. For now, purely judging looks

Looks like a pretty descent setup but that price is added on quite a bit for all those parts. Truck itself is only $32,000 tops

Atleast their not calling this one a "certified" Toyota!
