That's very little glitter, how's the glitter in the coffee filters those tell the real story

Coffee filter for the tcase was glitter free. Filter for the transmission is still draining the last little bit, but so far also looks to have very little.

Definitely no chunks of anything in either one.

What oil did you put in the t-case if not mt-90? I thought you could put it in both the tranny and t-case.

Nothing to really worry about there then. Sounds like other than being spent, the oil was doing its job well. For reference this is what came out of my Z trans (brass syncro material, the rest is just plant matter blowing around cause I was in my driveway) and even that was acceptable because this was the first drain after a rebuild, but on an old trans and case like yours you'd at most want to see 1/2 of what's in my pan

I changed my diff fluid for the first time in 120k Sunday. Stuf was pretty thick, had a metallic look to it and here’s the magnet.

I get some very slight vibration at 50-55mph. Just enough to hear with no music and just enough to see the rear view vibrate a tiny bit. It’s slow pulsating, I’m guessing driveline even though I’ve greased it once not too long ago. Maybe I need to try again with different grease with more tack.

I did a auto trans drain a frefill 3 times now starting at 110k probably a first for that as well. No metal bits but some non magnetic material that seemed to be tiny bits of clutch material. I called a local shop and they said it’s the clutch packs coming apart and I’ll need a new trans. I guessing they’re just trying to sell me a trans job.

While my shifting isn’t always super smooth just a bit more noticeable with no slipping I’m hoping its fine. When I drop the pan to do the valve body mod I hope cleaning the rest of the funk out will fix it. I read that changing worn “boost valves” would fix it if that doesn’t work

    I know.

Could have happened in that sketchy crossing I guess - isn't the breather on the top of the tcase? Not sure I've been in water that deep at any other time.

I figure I'll just change it out again in a lot fewer miles next time and make sure it looks better than it did this time. Could have been original in there for all I know...

I put Lucas 80W-90 in my diffs, and so put it in the tcase as well. The MT-90 probably would have been fine but I wanted the consistency. Plus, that MT-90 is not cheap (at least comparatively)! hahahaha

Cool, thanks. Definitely didn't see anything like that in mine. Did notice some (very little) oil leaking from the front diff - both sides where the CVs enter the diff. Gonna have to dig into that next, I suppose the front diff could also be the source of my noise...

we definietly fully submerged the tcase at least once if not twice on the last trip.

Breather is on top I believe its part of the tranny one by the shifter.

I cut all this wiring out of the truck, shortened, and loomed all the harnesses.

    Took forever.

It’s not ideal, but it was a hell of a lot better than what it used to be.

Holy shit that's a lot of wiring. What's all that for? Looks like you need another fuse box or some better battery terminals at the least.

That there is my power door retrofit system. My truck came from the factory with crank windows, manual locks, and mirrors.

I bought the door panels, door components, mirrors, and wiring from a rolled 2004 Double Cab Limited and created my own interface to adapt to the OEM door harnesses. After the kick panel connectors IH1/IH2 and IL1/IL2, it’s all custom.

Now I have keyless entry, remote mirrors, and power windows. The control box is bolted to where the clutch pedal would go.

I did this about three years ago when I didn’t know any better about electrical. I have to re-do it since the parking lights keep going off. There’s a short somewhere.

    I have mods
Took about 2 weeks to receive it. I also got a u-bolt flip kit and the plates were powder coated. It said on the site that the powder coating would cause delays so I imagine that is why it took a couple weeks to arrive.

They are standard. I gained about 4" of lift in the rear so if they sag some, that should be fine. AAL is easy enough to do when the time comes too.
