    Hello TW!

Due to the shortage of USA-made Billet that we've been dealing with since July, we are now modifying our TacoBox production schedule to best meet demand.

What we've decided to do is reorganize our Built Units page to now list all TacoBox applications individually, which include the following:

If interested, please follow an above link for your application and click on the "Notify when in stock" button so we better gauge interest to help the current limited production schedule.

We will randomly reach out to everyone (via email) with production and ETA updates. Thank you!

Click the below link to view all applications:

Hey, did you ever find someone to test the Tacobox on a 3.5 auto?

Hello TS7xTaco, thank you for the question. I've had a few people reach out to me but nothing has been set yet. Due to a very important project that I've been working hard on for the past few months I probably won't be pursuing this until sometime next spring.

I see you're in NM. Do you ever come out to Cali for some wheel'n?

    Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the reply! I've never actually gone to Cali to go wheeling. I have family there and visit occasionally. Me and a friend of mine are in the process of planning a trip to the Rubicon hopefully some time next year though.
I like the functionality of the Tacobox and am definitely interested in getting one in the future! Cant wait to see more product development from Marlin for the modern Toyotas.

@BigMike, any updates on when you guys might start building the taco boxes for the 3rd gens again? I got money that needs spendin'! I called a few days ago and the lady I spoke with mentioned something about an oil issue and redesign of the adapter.

    Good morning guys!

Wanted to post a quick update here.

We are accepting orders and building TacoBoxes for all 1995+ I4/V6 Automatics and all 1995-2004 I4/V6 5spd manuals. We do have a limited supply currently on the 4.70:1 ratio option ("TacoBox Supreme") but will be getting more inventory in from Japan soon.

    Regards,
    BigMike

@ThunderOne Now's the time to jump on it. 5spd manuals are included vs. what I posted earlier.

Status check on the 2016+ Manual Transmission boxes? I have money that needs to be spent before my wife finds it!

This is exciting Mike! How is the wear and tear on these for daily highway driving?

Hello txtr_customs, thank you for your question! We have been daily driving both city and highway with Dual and Triple Transfer Case setups since 1994, and All Marlin Crawler Transfer Case products are safe and speed-rated for all normal city and highway use. No problem at all!

For a Tacoma reference, here are a couple cross-country threads of my Tacoma driven with our (highly unusual, highly unnecessary, but which greatly proves their reliability) Triple Transfer Case Setup (MC08 + TacoBox Supreme):

All TacoBoxes are currently Build To Order so there will be some lead time. Please give our sales team a call for an ETA at (559) 252-7295 or toll free at (888) 94-CRAWL. Please note my above comment regarding availability of our 4.70:1 ratio.

We recently uploaded a new YouTube video of me spotting a customer in my Tacoma at last year's FJ Summit. For you slushbox owners out there, at this gear ratio (TacoBox Supreme = 4.70:1 ratio), thanks to your torque converter an Automatic is even slower than this when climbing!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV1J1S41wcE

This obstacle is known as "The Wall" and is considered to be the most difficult in the area. Due to the fire-road nature of the trails near Ouray/Telluride/Silverton, Colorado, I was only aired down to 18 PSI in this video which for large tires is astronomically high. It very likely would have idled up on its own without lockers had I been properly aired down (for California trails I prefer 4 PSI). Video date: July 20, 2018

    Regards,
    BigMike

I was wondering about this. I have had your duals and 4.7s in an 80s truck for a long time and LOVE it. But it is a manual. I have one of the 4.7 Tacoboxes ordered for this Tacoma, which is automatic, and I have wondered what it will be like. Will the motor still keep the tires turning at idle or does the torque converter allow it to stop like it does stock? Either way, Im pumped. Ordered earlier this year so Im making my install plans.

Are you offering a full kit for the 3rd gen Taco box? Wiring extension pigtail, shifter setup, driveshafts, etc?

If not, do you have a detailed list with specs, of all the other pieces required to install a tacobox in a stock 3rd gen?

LOL. Us MT guys have output shaft spline count problems and there seems to be no immediate fix from Marlin or Advanced Adapters.
