Son of a BITCH that was a brutal drive in to the office! People who can't drive or have shit tires need to stay home on days like this! Accidents all the way from Henniker to Londonderry.

What's the purpose of using intumescent? I've only seen it on commercial projects as a fire proofing system. I thought you were using it to coat the foam if you weren't planning on applying drywall. Sort of as an encapsulation sort of thing. If it's not part of the foam guy's install, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Morning all. Had about 4-5 inches on the ground this morning, probably. Gave the driveway a quick once-over before I left and I'm glad it's been so cold the last few days. Gave the driveway a chance to freeze up so I was able to plow instead of grade. The Ram is a tank; I plowed in 2WD and I've still got the old pair of mostly-bald BFG's that I got from my buddy on the back

Tell me about it. Hands down the most dangerous time of the year for driving in our region. People are still in the process of getting their winter tires put on and these snowfalls are a bit more than just a dusting. And then we have some who do have their winter tires on paired with an AWD/4WD system and think they're unstoppable. They're the ones causing the accidents. Be careful out there everyone.

No I live just off route 202 and take 202 to 89 to 93 to exit 5. There were 2 off the road on 89, 2 in the puckerbrush on 93, and 2 accidents right in the driving lanes on 93 as well. Real slow roll for me.

Thermal barrier. Per code. Either 1/2" drywall, or coating.

Going to build out round the ductwork, and do kneewalls down low.
The paint will be applied anywhere drywall is not up against.

Wasnt in my initial plan to have them do it, for the cost, Id add another inch of foam. In fact. As it stands now, I am mulling over a way to strap it out 2+ inches, and add more in the future. But, I might not.

The code is kind of muddy with this, and I am erring on the side of dont give the inspector anything to question.

As it is, everything I do is way above resi code. Im purely industrial, and everything Ive done, is done that way...

Fired up the Kubota because the snowblower didn’t like the 2-3” of slush under the snow. One last hurrah before I have to give it back.

Can’t justify buying one but was fun to borrow for 6 months. Unfortunately I had to leave it in my garage since it downpoured and wouldn’t get back up the hill and down to the barn garage.

Personally, I'd go with the Dueler. I had them on my Tacoma for a while and had good luck with them. I've never had the Yokohama tires but they have a closed shoulder which, in my opinion, does not perform well in heavy rain and slush.

I keep on leaning towards those Duelers
And have scratched the Yokohama idea.
Main reason why I love this forumso much is that we can shoot the breeze and get information.
That being said how do you like to ride to those coopers on the highway? Both the Duelers and the coops seem like my best options.
I find a noisy highway ride pretty annoying. It’s not like I am riding big tires and I’m going wheeling. Thank you very much again to all

    Same here.
I don’t think that I am alone when it comes to overthinking stuff. We all want to make sure that it gets done right, first and foremost with safety in mind for myself and others on the road

That was one of my concerns too. They're very quiet. They might even be quieter than the Michelin Primacys that were on my truck from the factory.

I had one off the road on 132, but they were WAY off the road in a field and I wasn't pulling them anywhere. Civic. Must have really been moving because they wrecked the whole front end and were probably 30 yards out into the field, but they were standing by the car on their phone when I drove by so I didn't stop.

Then I cheated and took I-95 the rest of the way, & I didn't see anybody else off.

They should have grown a set of balls, kept their foot on the gas and maybe they would have made it through the field!

The HID in my STi was useless in the rain. They were fine in snow once there was something on the ground to illuminate, but otherwise it was tough. For awhile I ran a set of yellow Hella 500's on the front of it on a custom mount that was kinda cool. Those worked fantastic in inclement weather.

Very good to know. I'll be bugging you periodically but that's promising.

Maybe the KO2 was better than the KO, but with the 2G OR's touchy electric booster I'd be in ABS all the time and it absolutely stunk.

I came out of work to find a crack on my windshield. I seriously thought about driving to the Toyota dealer and trading it rather than go through what I went through the last time the windshield was replaced. I'm going to try a Mom and Pop place this time recommended by the bodyshop I've had done work at who does all their windshields and hope for the best.

Yup. That's me. I try to keep the same handle in every forum. Got rid of my Crosstrek and bought the Taco. Just trying to solve some small issues I'm having. nothing crazy, mostly annoyances.
