I paid a Ram off in a year. Needed something to haul my boat.

She has a 4.0 GPA in one of the top engineering schools. Lexus is far from luxury. Get a current year used and they’re the price of a Camry.

Uh no! Lexus has great resale value too. No current year used Lexus is the price of a Camry.

I paid less than a Camry(28k) on my wife’s IS350 and less than a RAV4 for her current CPO BMW X1.

Then they were not current year models. Enjoy your new truck and payments for the next 84 months.

I would lease but the miles I put on it kill me. 36k in 2 years included 8 months I was deployed to “fun” places.

Was your SR5 stock? How does the ride of the new Sport compare to your old truck?

def was current year and Def wasn’t an 84 month payment. The deals are out there. You have to be patient and know what to ask for esp with Merc, Audi, BMW, and Lexus. I didn’t need a truck I didn’t care. I told them what it would take for me to drive it off the lot and after 3 hours I was driving away with what I wanted. I didn’t GAF if I bought one or not. I originally stopped by to price out tires which I was needing to replace.

So they’re getting $50 more from you each month and have you on the hook for 2 more years of payments?

Yes. It seems stiffer although it might be the newness. Steering seems stiffer too.

I understand completley. I sold cars for 2 years and have purchased about 20 cars. I’m a payment buyer. I get bored easily with cars. Shortest I’ve owned a vehicle was a month. Longest was this truck.

“Calling out” the dealer implies they were doing something wrong and you forced them to address it.

You actually did exactly what they wanted, which was borrow more money for a longer period of time. Regardless of how long you plan on keeping the truck, you still owe the money. You’ll either pay it off or add it to the next loan.

If you think you got out ahead financially, you didn’t.

I remember when I was a payment shopper. Then I wised up. Dealers love people who shop payment. They get squeamish when you start talking actual PRICE which is the right conversation to have.

    Nice truck man, enjoy!

Pay no mind to the naysayers, a deal is in the eye of the buyer as far as I’m concerned. If wise financial decisions were the norm around here none of us would add a single modification to these trucks.

Congrats on your new truck... Can you tell any difference between the SR5 and the Sport? ride, handling, etc?
