Interesting. Good to know! I always stayed away from California because I thought I’d pay a sales tax even though I don’t live there.

Correct! I bought mine from a dealership in OR and they estimated the sales tax for NC where it would be registered and then added that in to the sales price so I could finance the total amount and cover my own state sales taxes. They then cut a check for the sales tax to the registration office in NC so when I registered it at goho the taxes were paid. Except then I had to pay property taxes :annoyed:

Would be nice if you could buy somewhere like OR or WA with no sales tax and take it home without having to pay!!!

Negative, you will have to pay the sales tax for the state in which you will register the truck.

Perfect example of this is I bought a 4 wheeler in West Virginia, but live in Ohio and have not paid sales tax on it because I have never registered or titled it since it's used on private property. I have the signed title, but until I want to register it for use on public land or sell it, it will go unregistered.

You pay taxes on where it's registered.

I'd say 35 is a good price on that truck. It has probably $1,500 in Shocks and $2,200 in Wheels and Tires. I'm guessing the truck hasn't been offroad. See if you can get it certified used then you get a better warranty than new.

In the Bay if that truck was 100% stock it would be listed for 34k.

They ain't going to budge much on it. It's probably getting them tons of customers.

I just offered $31k as a starting point...I agree, this truck looks great with nice, tasteful mods. Just verified with dealer, the Nitto RG’s are brand new.

Dude. You pay tax in the state you register the vehicle.

    Enough said.

Without the add-ons, what is that truck worth? $30K. (Figuring about $34K pre tax price and $0.30 a mile depreciation.)
    Icons/Lift maybe $3K plus install.
Wheels = push as your OEM wheel/tire had similar value. Ah, lets say the uplift cost $500.

Any one who puts these add-ons knows they are lucky to see 25% of cost recouped.

$31,250 would be my walkaway offer.

The alternative is find a 2019 TRD OR for $34K with full warranty and two years newer.

Just my opinion. You may really want the Icons.

Here’s a question...what would this exact truck sell for (avg price) bone stock? $32,850 is what KBB averaged out to and that’s with over 25k miles (not 13,000 like this one). The original sticker was $38,000, just for reference. The Method 305 wheels and Icon lift was $3500, and installed by 4 Wheel parts (i called them to verify complete record) not Paco’s chop shop. I spoke with the owner, and the truck has seen zero off-road (as I suspected), it’s a mall crawler.

Bone stock depends on the area. In my area they’ll sell 32k-34k al day long. I think 33k is a fair price for that one you’re looking at.
