Being above 8-10psi kinda negates needing a beadlock.

I've been around enough and seen enough wheels so if its apparent i think ill notice. Hopefully Cali Offroad has their shit together by now but theres always a risk of old stock sitting around still being sold. :frusty:

Make sure it has real gps, not just agps. Agps uses cell towers (and cell service)

I'm going to be switching to a windows based tablet for easier APRS interfacing with my Yeasu FTM 400. Have not looked into a specific model yet.

    Might as well be one.

If you want your location to show up on mvum or any mapping software. Unless you use a standalone gps dongle (will be more precise).

But my old nexus tablets with GPS worked fine other than taking some time to get a gps lock to begin with.

Tablets will be listed as GPS, AGPS or something else (sometimes more than one).

    I am using a Samsung galaxy a 8”
They are like 150-200 for the cell models

If that is the one from Costco it’s better thang the one at Best Buy since the Costco one has more internal memory.
I wish I saw it before I bought the lesser one

Yeah, that's another perk when looking.. The capability of accepting a large sd card to expand memory.

Most windows tablets have an external charging input. The data port on the FTM does not offer 5v charging and from reading, it can not be added without interruption of data communication between the 2. That is the only reason I have found so far

Am I understanding correctly... Windows tablets have a different type of charging cable while others use the usb/micro/mini usb as the charging cord .. and the FTM wont charge it while connected? So you'd have to disconnect the radio from tablet to charge the tablet.

Go to Napa looking for a low profile mini fuse tap.. "I don't even know if they make those yet"

Small, dumb town problems..and this is why i default to Amazon and online as a first resource.
