Curious about parking brake lines.... anybody have any issues after installing lift with the tension on the parking brake line where it comes down from the support bracket attached to the leaf springs? Mine is really tight after installing lift.

Took your advice went out and bought a flare nut wrench 10mm. The problem was it was the worlds worst wrench ever made, stripped both top lines, had to resort to a pair of vice grips to get them off. Don't get me wrong my open end wrench would have stripped them too, but just saying buy quality tools!

I also installed 1inch longer front lines. They were a breeze compared to the rear.

Yeah man the parking break is tight i just took off the bracket attached to leaf springs and modified it and reattached it on frame better so it doesn't pull so hard. My problem is and i think this is a design flaw it still rubs on certain parts of the line and eventually will wear down.

Definitely get quality tools, I think i grabbed a husky or kobalt set of flares for cheap and they worked. I plan on doing front lines here soon as well.

    I'm gonna bump this.

Are the rear brake lines neccessary when running the dakaars? I'd like to see input from those who have or have not. And what rear shock you re using .
Mine stays mostly around city and some campgrounds. Not overally concerned with travel...

When you put Dakars on, the OME Nitrochargers are usually paired with them. Try and use a shock with close to the same extended and collapsed height. You don't absolutely need extended brake lines. You could put a spacer between the brake line bracket and the axle so that you lessen your risk of stretching your brake lines.

Yeah i did mine because i upgraded my leaf pack, ubolt flip and went with B110 which have more travel. I dont believe it is necessary with a shorter shock as that will limit your travel but for me it was piece of mind and if i ever decide to do even more to the rear i am covered.

Seems like OME nitro is the direction I'm heading then. The conservative direction that is - Was set on FOXs .
Gonna see the price diff for brake lines and perhaps bump stops now. Grrrrr lol.

How did you like the ride with the 110s paired with new pack? Any improvement over stock ?

I did this, dakars with nitro's and I hate it. The nitro's are too soft and the abrupt jerk when they top out drives me crazy.

My two cents... Extended 5100s with extended brake lines.

Then you don't have to baby it over speed bumps

I have the complete opposite side experience, but they are our own opinions.

If your master cyl setup looks like this, you can do the EZ bleed mentioned in post #11

Do yours not jerk when they top out over a speed bump? Or hole?

Do you mean what all 4 do I have?

5100s up front with 885 coils. I realize now I should have done shorter coils with spacers to get more down travel.

Money slows things down, doing maintenance right now. Then fun things
