Anyone else experience spark knock?

During the last couple of weeks I have been experiencing spark knock in low RPMs (1K-2K). Truck is a 08 DC Sport 4X4 with 40K miles. Original spark plugs were still in so I changed them out thinking that was the problem since it is recommended at 30K. Problem still exists. Plugs were all within .039 - .041 and have also tried going up in octane on the last tank of gas with no change.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the fix?

 

It's the Taco tick, get used to it, we all have it!

 

Try switching gas stations or go up a grade. I notice it worse when buying gas at some off brand stations.

 

I wish it was only the Taco tick but it is not!

 

Mine pings when accelerating hard with 87 octane in the tank. Only lasts a couple seconds until the knock sensor dials the timing back (at least I think that's what's happening). I have found that it is actually cheaper for me to run 91 octane in mine because of the increased mpg.

I had that in my '09, but not in my '10

 

I had it last week (cheap grocery store gas). I filled up with Chevron 87 octane, and now it's gone.
