Picked up a nice new Barcelona red 2018 SR5 Access cab I4 4X4 today. I'm un-apologetic about saying that she is going to be a pavement queen. I don't plan on towing anything, don't plan on leaving the pavement, if I have anything to say about it. I'm just tired of owning a pickup truck that sucks in the snow. Here in northern Iowa we get enough snow to make 2W drive a pain in the winter, and I'm too old to get out and push.

I'm an avid car/truck guy. Turned a wrench for a couple of summers back in the mid 70's, before I figured out that I wasn't going to make any money wrenching for someone else. Went back to school and got an engineering degree and worked for a fortune 50 company spending time in Production Eng., Materials Eng., and Design Eng. I do almost all of my own maintenance and repair work, If I can get it done while being able to justify the expense of the tools.

I have been enjoying this forum for the last couple of weeks. I printed out the post about the low trans fluid on new Tacoma's, and showed it to the Service Manager and asked them to check the Trans fluid and grease the U joints. He begrudgingly agreed, It wasn't low. already programmed my Torque Pro to check the trans temps.
I'll share a pix in a few days, they are calling for 2 to 4 inches overnight.
    Thanks.
    John
