My old eclipse which was the most powerful engine I ever assembled (under some watchful eyes) dynoed at 1100 to the wheels AWD. My buddy did everything all I had to do was slap the shit together so to speak. My other buddy did the tunning it took him a solid 3 days on the dyno to get everything sorted out. That was a wild car not my fastest but probably the most fun.

Was that turboed? Most if the 4 and 6 cyl engines i seen break the 1k were either turboed or a rotory engine. If not your friend has some wicked skills.

Yep big ol custom based on the GT40. Built specifically for the 4g63 (Old evo/eclipse engine 2.0l). Stroked out to 2.5l with a billet crank and rods. Custom set of pistons, water to air intercooler. Big ol' 120mm TB. Head was CNC ported with custom ground cams, yadda yadda yadda. It was a nasty little thing. I surprised many an unsuspecting v8 hot rods on the street. It ran 9.70s in the quarter. The trans was yanked and put a 4 spd dog box style manual in the stock 5spd manuals place so only used the clutch to get it into 1st after that it was hold on rev up and bang some gears. I broke a lot of shit with that car. 300m axle shafts and beefed up CVs were no match especially on the strip with slicks.

It was fun. I've owned in upwards of 100 vehicles. The tacoma by far has been my favorite so far. I've still got my 92 240 that's set up for time attack and auto-x. I really need to sell that thing. I haven't started it in like 2 yrs. I really need to sort out why I keep frying injectors in that stupid thing. I think the driver ckt for the injectors in the ECU is shot and something is going on there.

Put the thing in a dyno put the ecm programing onto a computet n let the dyno computer graph whats happening. If u need adapters i do have alot. Mitsubishi have 2 different sets 32 pin ecm to din or 64 pin to din.

Just did some thinking with the compression u are getting and the boost you are probably blowing the seals.

My 240 is NA it's still got the KA24de in it lol. If it makes 120 hp I'd be surprised lol. The suspension and chassis are all sorted. Its all stock as far as drivetrain goes. The old vg30 and ka24s are notorious for killing injectors.

I don't dare touch mine that often for whatever reason the pics being linked and some of my other links will glitch and become unlinked if I go to edit it.
